Sarabhai V/S Sarabhai (2004)
Humour in every sense of the term
One of the most humorous shows to have ever been aired on Indian Television. It generated moments of sheer magic in my life and everyone else's, i presume. The very funny attributes the characters of the show are infused with, along with the brilliantly written dialogues of the show all add to the immense popularity that the show garnered amongst the masses. Truly changed the face of Indian T.V. Sarabhai was a pathbreaker and a trendsetter in every respect.
For every other shows that were aired after Sarabhai, it was difficult to follow fashion and match up to the standards set by Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. I wonder how many of them managed to surpass this. Extremely delighted that the DVD's have released.
Run-ning-maen (2013)
Good but Expected better
This was an OK action/thriller with a couple of good laughs. It is not as good as I have come to expect out of South Korea, but that bar is set high due to the fact that South Korea has produced some amazing movies in the last decade or two. This was a one time watch. If you have already watched the cream of the countries crop, then this will be fine. On the other hand slightly better than mediocre. kind of had a cheesy feel to it. If you've got a thing for foreign movies, give it a try and you would be disappointed, as movie have enough action and drama to keep it interested till the end Conclusion - Good for one time watch
The First 48: Missing Persons (2011)
it might be more interesting if it wasn't only centered in Chicago
This first episode was great. Styled in the same format as "The First 48" it simply follows the "Missing Persons" Detectives. If it continues as well as this first episode, this will be a fan favorite. This is good but the lead up to finding someone makes me get mad when after the whole episode of poking around they find the person and the person's just confused doesn't wanna say what happened. its so unsatisfying, I like how in the regular first 48 they usually get a confession
While I would agree that the original First 48 is an all around better show, I find this one is more suspenseful. With the other one, it starts off with the person already dead, but with this one it could really go either way and you're waiting on the edge of your seat to see if they find them alive or dead. I'm hoping it gets a Season 2.
Gulaal (2009)
One of the very Best
Hands Down ! one of the best movies i have ever seen Indian cinema produce in a very long time. Very good story that is based on reality of struggle between Indian culture and youth of today. The story line was really god and the characters were very well executed by the actors. A very well thought and executed movie and shows the reality of Indian society and college politics. plus the dialogs were very well written and as well as delivered and i have to say that this is one of the best roles Kay Kay Menon ever played a mush watch. the struggles of the Rajputs is true fact. All in all a really good action pack movie with almost everything,.
