Awesome portrayal of Vietnam War
25 April 2005
If there was ever a movie that explains the horrors, atrocities, and abuse of power during wars, this is the movie all people should see. Even before seeing it for the first time, whenever I look at the title of the movie, the song that came to my mind is "The End" by the Doors because it is so true that once you enter warfare, all things normal cease to exist and you are out in your own world with eventually will end whether by death or by destruction of your sanity.

This movie is beautifully done. I was hypnotized by the scene of darkness and the nihilism that the movie showed. The direction of Francis Ford Coppola was just incredible, the actors were brilliant. I couldn't imagine what Martin Sheen went through in order to prepare for the role of Lt. Willard and the animalistic approach of surviving and adapting to the situation was breathtakingly stunning. Marlon Brando lived up to his image as an American icon with his portrayal of the maniacal, god fearing Kurtz and Robert Duvall was almost comical, yet surprising incredible as Col. Kilgore.

The attitude of the Americans as the superhero was evident in this movie and with the defeat of the "superhero" by the "villians" the communists, the movie showed that with wars - no one really wins and with only lives lost. It is incredible that the movie was made barely three years after the ending of the Vietnam War.

CSI: NY (2004–2013)
I love it!!!!
23 September 2004
Warning: Spoilers
I saw the first show last night and I just loved it! Like the other two CSI shows, this one was awesome, brilliant and just looking forward to seeing the three CSI shows in one week! Sinise is brilliant as Mac Taylor, a man dedicated to his work yet hurting inside since losing his wife on 9/11. Melina's just fabulous as Stella. (she and Sofia Milos look so much alike) and the rest of the cast are fabulous.

I noticed that some of the comments were concerned with the third show and enough is enough but I think this one will be so good it will last a darn long time. Considering that William Petersen's contract is up on 2006 and may not be there much longer, this show and the one in Miami will be the main focuses as the CSI Franchise will continue to show new episodes in the future.

Again, brilliant job, brilliant show and one show I cannot wait on a Wednedsay night since before there was nothing on TV Wednesday night where I am.

A beautiful movie
10 February 2004
This movie should be among the top twenty best movies of the 20th century. It is a heartbreaking, love story of Zhivago, his muse Lara and the triumphs and tragedies of their lives before, during and after the Russian Revolution.

A fantastic film about what is considered to be the best story of the 20th century.

Great New Series on TV this season+
19 January 2004
This is a great series to watch. I have been hooked on this show since the beginning because I love watching mysteries and crime like CSI and CSI Miami. Harmon's so sexy in this role and McCallum is always a joy to watch as Ducky especially when he's on the role over various anthropology lectures which to my amusement everyone on that shows roll up their eyeballs.

One of the greatest movies from the 70's
19 January 2004
Reading about the era during the late 60's to mid 70's the movie seemed to turn from a happy-bubbly, lovey-dovey movies to one that was dark, dreary, depressing which reflect the moods of the United States at the time where disillusionment ran rampage. The French Connection was one of the best movies made during that time. The atmosphere was incredible and even watching the movie, I could feel the depressing mood of the time. Gene Hackman deserved the Oscar for his role as a gritty narcotics officer Popeye Doyle and the rest of the cast was splendid in the movie.

Great Car Chase
19 January 2004
Despite the comments from the others regarding the overhype of this movie, I enjoyed the movie. This film has the best car chase ever! It's a great example for all movies to follow and it did help that McQueen and the director of the movie were car racing fans.

Live, Live, Live!
16 April 2003
This is one fantastic movie. I love this movie since watching it on television last year. Rosalind Russell was born to play the part of Mame. The rest of the cast is great in their roles.

It is one of those movies when you're feeling depressed and by the time the movie ends, you feel much better. You have to Live, Live, Live!!
