History of the World: Part II: I (2023)
I love that everybody is having fun!
History of the World: Part 1 was great and I love everything that Mel Brooks does. I miss the days of slapstick comedy... Anything Mel, Naked Gun, Airplane, etc... I'm not sure why people are so disappointed by this?! You can't make the same Mel Brooks shows these days because y'all are too sensitive. I think this is a great swan song for Mel. He took all of his humor and incorporated the top comedians to put their own style into it. Just enjoy it and have fun! It'd be great to see another Naked Gun or Airplane. Not a remake, but a continuation. Anyways, I thought this was fun and funny. Don't take yourselves so seriously. You're not real film critics.
The Gray Man (2022)
Why did they do this?
Why did they do this? Terrible mistake. The first book would have made for an awesome movie. Why is Denny Carmichael in this? Why? Garbage. Denny Carmichael should be introduced later. Also, he's supposed to be a weathered 60 year old man. This sucks. Terrible movie. They don't get Fitzroy right either. These books are good. This is trash. They did the same with Cussler and Flynn books to movies. This is the worst cash grab.
Yellowstone (2018)
Best Modern Day Western
Deep character development, great storyline, and fantastic writing. I love this show. There are annoying characters, but they always further the storyline. The fact that westerns are a dying breed, makes me love this show even more. Brings me back to Tombstone and Unforgiven.
Nightmare Alley (2021)
Not a good movie.
I loved Pan's, Hellboy 1 and 2, but this was a snore. Anticlimactic, boring, and shouldn't be an Academy Award Nominee. Del Toro could do a lot better.
Aquaman (2018)
DC is not getting it.
Nolan's Batman movies were phenomenal. Dc /Warners continues to make flaming piles of garbage. Visually, this movie is awesome. Everything else is terrible. Green Latern, B v S, and Justice League sucked. WW was ok. Get it together DC. Take your time. Marvel is amazing. Take a step back and figure it out.
Heat (1995)
My Most Favorite Movie
Best cast, best direction, best story... I love this movie. It is my number 1. DeNiro and Pacino at odds and on screen (finally) since Godfather II. Michael Mann is phenomenal. I could watch this action/thriller/drama/love story any day of the week.
Tombstone (1993)
One of the best movies ever made.
This is one of the greatest westerns of our time. Great cast, great story, even better direction from Kurt. There are soooo many quotable moments in this movie. There are soooo many jaw dropping moments in this movie. Kurt, Val, and Michael are amazing in this movie.
Speed Kills (2018)
Why was this movie made?
I've enjoyed John Travolta in the past for the early classics of Grease, Carrie, and Saturday Night Fever... Pulp Fiction brought his career back, then everything after that was hallmark material... Phenomenon, Michael, Faceoff, etc... every movie Travolta makes lately is trash. I'm to blame because I continue to watch his awful movies. Gotti was horrific. At least Nic Cage has embraced that he's a joke and makes movies accordingly. His hair is fake, his tan is fake, and he wears purple lip balm in this film for no reason. I did like Get Shorty.
