The Vaccine War (2023)
"The Vaccine War" - An Epic Tribute to Indian Science and Resilience
"The Vaccine War" is an absolute triumph in the world of cinema, a masterpiece that showcases the maturation of Vivek Agnihotri's storytelling prowess.
It deftly unravels the remarkable journey of Indian scientists in achieving a groundbreaking feat - the creation of a Covid-19 vaccine for India. The film courageously delves into the scientists' struggles, the daunting challenges they faced, and the relentless conspiracy orchestrated by certain media houses and journalists to undermine the excellence of Indian Science. Yet, against all odds, these doctors and scientists, like true heroes, surmounted the obstacles and gifted humanity with a lifesaving vaccine in record time.
The storytelling is a mesmerizing tapestry that weaves together a narrative of pride for Indian scientists, leaving you in sheer awe. But it's not just the plot that shines; the background music and soundscapes become characters themselves, evolving with the movie. In moments of silence, the music and sounds breathe life into the scenes, invoking powerful emotions and even sending shivers down your spine.
The cinematography is an absolute standout, with breathtaking shots and expertly framed characters. It perfectly captures the tense atmosphere where needed, evoking memories of the pandemic period we all lived through. The film's beautiful camera work is nothing short of a pleasant surprise.
"The Vaccine War" effectively highlights the success of the Indian government and its administrative prowess. It portrays the synergy of various government departments working in an organized manner, showcasing the administrative strength of India. In a departure from the stereotypical portrayal of government offices in Bollywood, the movie accurately depicts the real state of government affairs. Kudos to the art director for painting this accurate picture.
The film subtly emphasizes the essence of Indian culture, where even lab rats and monkeys are respected during vaccine experiments, reflecting the Sanatani way of Indian culture. It's a poignant reminder of the values instilled in us - to respect every living being, as divinity resides in all, be it insects, animals, or humans.
The inclusion of Dr. Abdul Kalam's image and Indian scriptures and symbols in various scenes underscores the role of the Indian faith system in providing guidance and light during times of internal conflicts and confusion.
The dialogues are nothing short of amazing and will keep you captivated, especially those delivered by the venerable Nana Patekar. The film ensures that you remain engaged from start to finish.
In summary, "The Vaccine War" is a must-watch, offering an abundance of knowledge and inspiration. It encourages young minds to stand up for Indian doctors, scientists, and the country's administration, making it a cinematic gem that leaves a lasting impact.
The Silence of Swastika (2021)
A Compelling Documentary Exposing the Malicious Agenda
This documentary is a must-watch for everyone who thinks that Hitler used Swastika as his symbol. This shed light on how a 'Hooked Christian cross', that Hitler used was wrongly called 'Swastika'.
Through meticulous research, this film unveils the subtle ways in which the Western world intentionally defamed the Swastika, with the involvement of certain religious institutions pushing this malicious agenda forward.
The documentary eloquently demonstrates how the repetition of a lie, over an extended period, can solidify it as a perceived truth in the minds of people.
AKTK has done a commendable job in researching and presenting these facts to the world through this documentary. It serves as an eye-opener, revealing how the West and specific religious institutions seek to defame aspects of other religions, all in the pursuit of their self-proclaimed superiority.
Adipurush (2023)
A Deeply Disappointing Adaptation: Aadipurush
Aadipurush, unfortunately, proves to be an immense letdown and a missed opportunity. The film's visual effects appear artificial and excessive, giving the impression that suitable shooting locations were lacking, leading to the decision to film every scene in a studio with green screens and relying heavily on post-processing effects.
The casting choices are severely flawed. Hanuman's character, smaller in stature compared to Ram and Ravan, seems out of place. Throughout the film, Ram's character lacks any semblance of emotion, and there is a noticeable absence of charm on his face. Laxman's portrayal fails to do justice to the character, and the Vanar Sena appears to be a combination of monkeys and chimpanzees, indicating a lack of understanding from the director regarding the distinction between Vanars and other animals. Sita's character lacks the pride and grace befitting the traditional portrayal, instead being presented as a modern interpretation. Moreover, Ravan's character is depicted solely as a dark villain, disregarding his status as a knowledgeable Brahmin. These creative decisions substantially distort the story of Ramayan, misrepresenting several key aspects.
The dialogue further adds to the film's disgrace. The characters communicate disrespectfully with each other. Prabhas, portraying Ram, addresses Sita by his father-in-law's name (Janki). Hanuman's character is muzzled, hindering proper communication. Most of the dialogue feels as if it were penned by an amateur writer, lacking the depth and knowledge expected from a well-versed writer.
Witnessing this disrespect toward the Hindu epic was deeply disheartening. It is astonishing to contemplate how the actors, writers, and filmmakers could transform such a beautiful story into a subpar production. The film's failure is truly disheartening, as it squanders the opportunity to create a remarkable cinematic experience, instead delivering a dispiriting disappointment. The sheer magnitude of this disgrace compelled me to leave the theater before its conclusion.
Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar (2023)
An Underwhelming Experience
The movie "Tu Jhoothi Mai Makkar" follows the story of a wealthy main character and his sidekick, who indulge in flaunting their wealth and managing multiple businesses. They also have a part-time job of organizing breakups for fun or extra income.
The story takes a turn when the protagonist falls in love with a girl who pays him to break up with him due to his family's annoyance. As the plot progresses, the dialogues come off as clichéd and highly irritating, with overdone acting that fails to bring life to the characters. The attempts at comedy fall short as the overacting overshadows any comic relief.
Overall, "Tu Jhoothi Mai Makkar" is a movie that should be avoided. The weak storyline and subpar acting make it a poor use of one's time. Instead, viewers can invest their time in enjoying other masterpieces that are more deserving of attention.
