Khaleja (2010)
A Trivikram mark film....But certainly not for all genres
I firstly must admit that I've never liked Mahesh's acting until this movie and after watching this, I can't deny the fact that he is the best entertaining actor(I still doubt his movies selection though) in Tollywood.
The combination of Trivikram and Mahesh is always a high-expectation movie(after their Athadu-one of the evergreen movies of Telugu film history) and they were able to reach up to the expectations- I have to say. Most of the audience might not feel the same, because they might not like the idea of a human being treated as GOD, they might take it as an exaggeration, but in the final moments of the movie Trivikram through the dialogs of Ramesh Rao explains why he chose the character to be considered as GOD(which unfortunately most of the audience do not give a damn about). But for serious movie lovers this is a treat to watch.
Mahesh, after a long time(or I must say for the very first time)proved himself as an actor. After his last movies Sainikudu, Athidhi I just felt that the serious look on his face got glued to his acting. But in this movie-Boy, did he act...He was simply awesome...Everything about him in this movie was nothing short of PERFECT.
Its true that Anushka's role was just like any other Telugu heroine's role in the movies(just for the purpose of filling in the Songs). But she has done well for her character.
Ali, Brahmi and the Sunil trio have tried their very best to lead the comedy, but its the show stopper Mahesh(as one of the dialog in the movie says-"If any one is to do comedy here, that would be me")that rocks the screen with both his comedy and the newly adapted "Dialog delivery" style, which aptly suited for this character.
All the other characters were good-Shafi, Prakash Raj has done justice for their roles.
Finally, to say about TRIVIKRAM, It would be apt to say that he is one of the few THINKING directors in Tollywood today. He has put in a lot of effort, both with his dialogs and his direction- which has ultimately paid off in making this excellent movie.
For the audience, this movie, if watched with out any expectations and preconceived notions, you'll have your heart in your stomach because that's the amount of entertainment this movie has.
I'll give this a 7/10 as it is not definitely for all genres of movie watchers, but surely a very good movie to enjoy upon.

Highly anticipated...and a well disguised BAD film
I am fairly disappointed in rating this movie as I'm a huge fan of Shankar and am a true admirer of his message-through-film approach. But, unfortunately he's made this movie just for getting huge box-office collections which as he mentioned some time back as "against his principles".
The film starts with a professor(Rajni)who designs a Robot and makes it to work after ten years of his hard work(as he describes) and starts making new modifications to it after each and every rejection of it, by a bunch of Scientists. And with the modifications made the Robot(Chitti) turns into a bad one and tries to kill the professor.
The acting was fairly good from all. Rajni has performed as usual- SUPERB(no wonder why people call him a SUPERSTAR).Aish did her part well and so are the rest of the crew. The film has high quality locations, excellent music and mind-boggling Graphics.
But the main disappointment of this film is the lack of the most important aspect-STORY. However, both Shankar and Rajni doesn't make you feel the lack of it in the first half. But, the stupid comedy sequences and the nil-quality dialogs of the BAD ROBOT makes you feel uncomfortable. However, a glimpse of anxiety creeps into you by the end of the movie(credits to the Graphics). But, overall this is the first badly made movie by Shankar.
The film has no scenes of I ROBOT but certainly the director has adapted most of the ROBOT sequences from the English movie I ROBOT. The only difference b/n I ROBOT and the ROBOT is: I ROBOT had excellent story, nice performances and well edited while the Indian version i.e., ROBOT has only the performances by the actors in comparison to the above factors.
Finally, I recommend this movie to the public who've never watched an Hollywood movie, because once you're familiar to Hollywood movies this film will appear like an absolute joke. I give this film a 5/10 because of the respect I have towards Shankar and the star-cast that made this film at least watchable.

An absolute disaster...Certainly not what you expect from the hit duo of Kushi
To start with, the result of this movie is solely to be blamed onto the director S.J. Surya as is the case with his other movies.
His direction is an absolute disaster. He completely failed in managing the movie's screenplay as the audience's patience is continually put to a test. The movie is like a clubbing of several parts, with all the scenes with the heroine put together and so are the scenes with the villain.
Coming to the performances, Pawan Kalyan played an entirely new role as a Police officer when compared to his previous roles as a lover boy. He single handedly managed to hold the movie together and tried to bring the film to the audience. His dialogue delivery was simply awesome, however the repetition of some dialogues and the certainty of truth in them makes the audience feel like receiving a lecture. Nikeesha Patel on the other hand was just portrayed like a clown, with the director using her only to cast her in the songs. Speaking of the songs, A.R. Rehman the great academy award winner has failed for the first time with his background score, as the scenes are completely out of shape and the background score hasn't done anything to help its cause.
Manoj Bajpai in his role as a villain is shown as the ruler of an entire state but the director failed in maintaining the uniformity of the role in the film throughout as the great villain in the first half turns completely into a cat in the second. Nasser and Charan Raj did well but that's all that can be said about their roles.
I'd give this movie a 6/10 because of the performances from Pawan and Saraya who did justice for their roles. But the film is definitely not upto the expectations of the general audience as the previous combination of the duo of Kalyan and Surya--KUSHI was an all time blockbuster.
Finally, the film could have been much better if the director tried to put some sense into the movie. However, certain positive elements like the dialogues(by the writer and Kalyan's delivery of them) is definitely observable.

Trivikram's new Dimension -- Well Experimented and With good Result
This is actually a good movie with brilliant performances from all the actors.Pawan does a good job for his role as Sahu and Prakash Raj has done a good job as well though not as great as his previous performances in Ananthapuram,Khadgam.
The plot is an interesting one and so is the screenplay but it gets difficult for the audience to follow it.The music is very good but when it comes to the picturisation of them they were, to say, a bit disappointing.
Trivikram has come forward with a new concept and his "punch" dialogs are as always stands as a highlight to this movie.
The roles of Sunil and Dharmavarapu Subrahmaniam are short but interesting and humorous.
Ileana leaves aside her "sensuous" image and performs an innocent girl character and she delivered a fairly good performance.Parvati has also done good performance but her character is too short to speak. The roles of Tanikella Bharani and Mukesh Rushi are well defined and the conversations between them creates a hype with the dialogs from Trivikam.
Finally, I give this a 7/10 because it is not a simple Telugu film and it does need an effort from the audience to understand it.
