The Thing Called Love (1993)
My Favorite Movie Ever
This Movie Was Great. It Was A Definite Heartwarmer, And I've loved this movie since i was young and i first saw it on tv. ever since then i couldnt remember the name and then i found it out and for the past few months i've been looking for it all over tv and i found it last night on CMT (figures) i love this movie its the kind of movie you want to sit and watch over and over again (at least i do). i couldnt love a movie more. Samantha Mathis and River Pheonix are my two most favorite actors ever i've seen so many of her movies (little women, jack and sarah, the thing called love, broken arrow, this is my life ect) and only one of his (dogfight) evidently thats enough to love him. River being in the state he was in really brought his pain into some of the more heartclenching scenes. Samantha really brought home the feeling of a confused girl looking to find herself. Their relationship to me was so full of chemistry and so realistic that i dont think there could have been anyone to play them better (that however is my opinion) This movie to me is as good as it gets. they really bring to life the fact that they have a life before the time space in which the movie takes place and also afterwards, and you really understand that. they have a future and a past together.River and Samantha are amazing. If you love romance and feel good movies you'll love this movie!!!i suggest renting it
For the Very First Time (1991)
made-for-tv-movie perfection personified!
Honestly this movie was more moving than anything i've watched in a while. I think the way that Corin Nemec and Cheryl Pollak Play The parts so well I mean when i watched it i wanted it to last forever i wanted to watch it over and over again which i couldnt and it makes me mad. the only movies that have ever made me feel like this are the virgin suicides and tuck everlasting omg good good movies, but this movie this movie takes the cake it just blew me away, the only part that really confused me was the end i mean (dont read on if you have yet to see this movie) i think that honestly they should have gotten married or something but i think it was very touching that she named her daughter michelle. michelle being the woman form of the name micheal. and how he re-instates the fact that she only wanted to be his best friend if not more when they first started out she said "you're gonna be my best friend" and at the end he signed the book "to mary margaret my best friend love michael" BRILLIANT BRILLIANT WORK! i give it two thumbs up and trust me if i had more thumbs i'd give it more!!!!
