Let's Talk About CHU (2024)
almost perfect.
Was Taiwanese cinema always this beautiful, or is this series something special? Even the acting of the young market worker, with just two sentences, didn't seem forced. All the actors are so successful in conveying every emotion and meaning to the audience. I congratulate the lead roles, superb. I also have extra respect for the director; they conveyed it to us in such a fantastic, fluent, and varied way, without ever boring us. I never expected a series to be this free and open. Once you get used to the characters, you'll feel immersed in the series. In terms of the plot, it actually showed many things that most of us experience, almost in full clarity. I salute everyone involved in the making.
Foe (2023)
a bit beautiful, a bit disappointment.
I opened the movie based on a friend's recommendation, without reading the description. The subject and the world mentioned initially excited me a lot. In the first episodes, I felt like I was watching an episode from the Black Mirror series. A dystopian and gloomy world, where we are held in the absence of Black Mirror, was beautifully created. The influence of technology and governance on ordinary people. However, as the plot progressed, I encountered a narrative that went far beyond my expectations. The story turned into a psychological thriller, and I felt too much turmoil. Whereas the created world and scenes could have gone beyond a psychological drama. In my opinion, it's a superb plot, seemingly overshadowed by the gloom of the story. I can say that the acting was very good. The cinematography and sequences were not boring.
