This could so easily have been much better. It's obvious that a large fraction of the budget was spent on the effects, but realistic destruction scenes do not make a good film. Had some of that effects budget gone into storyline and screenplay, it could have worked out much better. As it is, this film could appear in the dictionary under "formulaic".
