Feud (2017)
Good but could be better...
The portrayal of Capote is entirely cliché. Hollander is excellent in the role, except it's a rerun of how Phillip Seymour Hoffman portrayed him in 2005. Treat Williams is excellent, truly shines as Bill Paley. There are some serious visual mistakes, as in the interior of La Cote Basque not looking exactly like it was. Also when Babe Paley gets out of a taxi cab in front of her apartment building and she is carrying shopping bags, the Louis Vuitton bags she is carrying are the contemporary bags they use at the stores now. The color of the Louis Vuitton bags were changed in 2003, to the Imperial Saffron color they use today. The shopping bags in the 60s and 70s when the story took place would have been a dark brown. The prop department should have known this. Naomi Watts is excellent as BP, Diane Lane is spot-on as Slim Keith, and Chloe Sevigny turns the flat persona of CZ Guest into a riveting character.
Saltburn (2023)
A punishment to watch! 💀
Literally, and without a doubt, the worst movie I have ever, ever seen! It starts out slow and gets even more slow, and the plot line just gets worse and worse and worse. A serious waste of talent here, and such a waste of time. I wish I would have left in the first ten minutes which I could barely get through as it was painfully slow and uneventfully boring!
Do not waste your time or money on seeing this beyond awful film!
There is absolutely no sense to the plot, it is merely a jamble of themes thrown together - and nothing makes sense in this film. After the first extremely boring half hour, the visuals and the scenery improved, however, the story and the plot never improves!
I Care a Lot (2020)
This is happening at Nursing homes in America now !
This is a true portrayal of how corrupt and evil American nursing homes are now ! That's why they paid robots to write 3000 one star reviews ! EXCELLENT FILM, EXCELLENT acting and beware of NURSING HOMES ! They don't give a damn about their patients whatsoever - it's only about sucking the money dry and Into the coffers of the nursing homes and letting them be abused until they die!
Slim Aarons: The High Life (2016)
Worth watching times ten!
Riveting documentary! I loved the history of Slim's owni life and how intimately he knew so many of his subjects. A true portal into the genteel life of the 20th century. Slim was a pioneer in his field, he has not been replaced, and never will be. I highly recommend this documentary and have seen it several times. Any art minded person of any age up and any background will truly enjoy this insightful documentary. Very well done.
