Audio book with moving pictures...
10 February 2011
The misery started yesterday, when a friend of mine said to me: "You just HAVE to watch this great movie!". Long story short - he owes me about 80 minutes of not being bored. I don't even know where to start. The actors - a nice group of extras from various series - you can clearly see the excitement in their faces that for the first time they will not appear in the credits as "the man in the store", but with a real name. Most of the budget was probably spent on the bottle of Johnny Walker green label, so I guess they were forced to record the movie with an I-Phone - at least you don't have to use a DVD, because in this quality the movie should easily fit on a floppy disc. I don't want to sound too negative, so I have to admit that, if you look very closely, you can even find some plot around the holes. As an example - Dr. Will Gruber (a person participating in the mind blowing twisted culmination of the movie), joins the group by pure accident, because a friend of the main character calls him, obviously afraid that the whole thing could end for them being buried in the woods. My recommendation: if you are going on a long trip with your car, take this DVD with you and listen to this movie - you wouldn't miss any of the atmosphere in an audio-only version...

I had to comment..
29 December 2008
Warning: Spoilers
I know - it's so sorry to comment a series after it's of the air for like 10 years, but I have decided last week I will give it a try for two or three episodes, and I didn't make it... I made it through two and a half, and tried not to throw everything in my reach into the screen. They should pass out insulin with this over sweetened piece of crap... I'm feeling sorry for the American people that are judged in the rest of the world on the basis of shows like this one... On the other hand - I'm sure there are trailer parks over there, where this one was a blockbuster. The only positive thing that I have heard about this show, is that Jessica Biel is in it - didn't see anything interesting in the episodes I was watching, and probably it will stay that way, because I don't think it's worth it...

It is not a documentary...
29 October 2008
Warning: Spoilers
The soundtrack has been done perfectly, and it has a pace of a thriller, but it's nothing more than a blown up documentary-style movie done by some, I have to admit, talented SF authors. The first part of the movie was enough for me to realize what they were about (don't get me wrong - I am not defending anything or anyone, but the Sirius star could have never been in the east direction at 3000 B.C. and 2000 years ago). Seeding panic within less educated people, and getting some members for their sect (Yes, there is a movement called the "ZEITGEIST MOVEMENT") was probably the only intention of this Dan Brown-ish piece of "art". The "facts" mentioned in this "something" can be checked by anyone with a library or an internet connection in their neighborhood, please do that before placing a comment, I did...
