Mission Majnu (2023)
Is This The Best Indian Film of The Decade?
The first review here - Played this on Netflix today and at the end of this mind-blowing film, I pushed myself to log on to my IMDB account to review it because this movie deserves all the accolades coming it's way. It's such a beautifully put together, well-made movie. I'm truly speechless about the story-telling brilliance. From the bottom of my heart, hats off to everyone involved in this project. You made me feel the suspense and thrill, laugh and even cry within the span of this movie. Absolutely solid performances by all actors. Sidarth Malhotra portrays Amandeep Singh with his best acting performance to date. Hats off my friend, you've taken the top spot in my indian actor rankings based on acting chops! The directing, cinematography, camera work, acting, screenplay, editing and music all comes through powerfully blended in this project so much so that you never take your eyes off the screen. This movie kept me on the edge of my seat moving from one scene to another flawlessly. Sidharth Malhotra & Rashmika Mandanna's on-screen chemistry was magic and moving performances from Kumud Mishra, Sharin Hashmi and the rest of the cast. More power to everyone involved. Thank you for presenting us with this gem! - Anishka - Sri Lankan in Australia.
The Irishman (2019)
3 Hours & 29 Minutes Runtime, Still Leaves You Begging For More. Best Wishes From Sri Lanka - Long Live The Kings of Masterful Film-making!
To all potential viewers and viewers that could not enjoy this movie:
Advice 1: Use English subtitles even if you are a native English speaker (unfamiliar era / content / dialect / information, varying timelines and number of characters introduced in the film can lead to a lot of confusion and a diminished experience if you do not closely follow the movie without any distractions).
Advice 2: Watch more top rated mob/mafia genre movies from 1970s onwards to get a better sense of the culture and intricate rhythm of the storylines.
I strongly believe this movie far exceeds all expectations of hardcore Scorsese, De Niro, Joe Pesci & Al Pacino fans and mob genre followers. It is truly an honour and privilege to witness the masters in their element, once again performing at an unparalleled level of eliteness. Best wishes to all involved in this project from Sri Lanka.
Sufna (2020)
Wishes from Sri Lanka to team Sufna - An excellently acted, heartfelt love story that breathed new life into Indian Cinema.
Congratulations to Team Sufna for making a beautiful love story that revived the romance genre of Indian cinema. The cinematography, screenplay, acting, directing, music, editing and overall experience throughout this movie is top-notch! Many moments in the movie reminds/conveys to the audience important messages/morals in life. The story is extremely humbling and connects to every human being on a deeply sincere and very real level. Hats off to everyone involved in this project. May this project be a platform that launch you all to achieve greater success.
Charlie's Angels (2019)
Bad / over acting, editing & zero character development broke this movie!
Acting by the main characters in most scenes feel extremely forced and unbelievable. The movie does not emotionally engage the audience one little bit and the emotional bits feel like a parody! It's a complete mess....
The Night Comes for Us (2018)
The Next Level of Martial Arts Cinematography -
The Next Level of Martial Arts Cinematography with an excess of gore and violence beyond imagination.

RoboCop (2014)
Highly Underrated Movie
I'm giving the movie a 10 to try and convey a message to other IMDb users and visitors of this page that this RoboCop Remake is in no way one that deserves a 6.6 rating (rating at the time of reviewing). In my opinion, the film viewed in it's own, deserves a rating of at least 7. Fans of the original need to stop comparing and criticising the film for not been an exact same copy of the original. I agree that the story- line, visual effects, cinematography, costumes (being made in year 2013) and acting itself could have been better to create a more realistic and appealing film. The film felt a bit rushed and also dragged on at times with too many scenes inside the lab and of Det. Murphy riding his bike. A little more character development could have also helped the audiences to grasp the struggle Alex and the family is facing and really emphasise on the human element in the movie which people can relate to. Nevertheless, the director succeeds in capturing the man/machine contemplation within RoboCop and it keeps you entertained from one scene to another as a fast-paced sci-fiction/action flick. - Highly recommended to watch and don't be fooled by the negative reviews.
