Le petit prince (2015)
"What's essential is invisible to eye"
The Little Prince is widely known as a children's book, nevertheless, it actually offers journey to one's inner world for adults as well as children. The movie Little Prince is in the same conjuncture, but in a visual way. In the point of fact, the movie consists of two parts. In the first part, the book was treated a bit of quick and broad brush. Yet, it was really good to see Little Prince as it is seen in the original pictures on the book. Stop motion scenes were successful enough. Second part of the movie, mostly related to "grown up prince" which I've found artificial and far away from the main theme of book's fiction. Dark scenes might be considered as frightening for children somehow. Still, seeing disguise of how king, vain man and businessman might look like in a real world were witty and good details. For the one's who like to read and imagine it in their own world, the movie might be below expectations, however, the book itself deserves credit for anything, therefore the movie was worthwhile to watch in the theater. Film version of The Little Prince would not change what you get from the story, as it says "what's essential is invisible to eye." Just one final note to the soundtracks which can make you watch all the credits; Camille has done a decent job especially with "Suis- moi".
Kara Bela (2015)
Outstanding absurd comedy by Aksak.
As the ones who are used to Burak Aksak(the director and writer) style would know, he shows up with another absurd comedy with Kara Bela. Truth to be told, the screenplay is standard and quite predictable. However, thinking of the Aksak's style, it was not one of the main concerns when it comes to the movie. Especially Cengiz Bozkurt(Kudret) is perfectly fit to the character and has a stunning performance. As well as Bozkurt, Erkan Kolçak Köstendil (Güven) plays fair enough to mention. After writing Bana Masal Anlatma(2015), Burak Aksak appears with a better job. The movie has certain cross references to popular issues. In addition, quotes and gestures were rich enough, which made whole theater laugh in many scenes.
May be it does not offer the best storyline ever, yet in the title of comedy, it gives its title's credit. With the outstanding performance of Cengiz Bozkurt, film is already became a classic in the field of comedy. I would say, if you like absurd comedy and Aksak's style, you will definitely love it.
Içimdeki Ses (2015)
A long way off from the quality of Vavien, yet, still offers good time with Engin Günaydın's acting.
After gaining a huge credit and success after Vavien (2009), Engin Günaydın now appears in an another movie which he has both written and acted. However, from my point of view, it does not meet expectations. The reason that made me think that way could be the comparison with Vavien. Screenplay was below the average. The flow of the plot was to quick and easy, resulted with making the film unclear in some aspects. Yet, still it was not tedious. Günaydın's (Selim) acting talent is way good enough to carry the screenplay. I could not define İçimdeki Ses as neither "a waste of time", nor a "must see". With a modest plot and cast, the movie still offers good time for audience.
