Ek Rishtaa: The Bond of Love (2001)

Okay movie

I saw this movie today.I must say this is bearable and okay.Story is good.It tells about Kapoor family who has 3 girls and 1 son.One day Vijay comes across Rajesh.What he does not knows that Rajesh wants to capture his wealth and for that he marries his daughter.Then a problem occurs in his company.He screams at his son.His son leaves him.Then Rajesh captures hiss wealth.He closes his company.He is sick.Then his son returns.A good story.The very handsome Mohnish Behl who plays Rajesh overacts miserably.Karishma who looks gorgeous as ever in the movie gives an annoying performance in an unusual character.Juhi looks very pretty in this movie and is strictly OK here.The other 2 are okay also.Rakhee who looks good in the movie is wasted.Aashish is OK too.The movie belongs To Akshay and Amtabh who give great performances.The bond was beautiful.Their performances were more deserving than Shah Rukh Khan in K3G.Aamir in Lagaan or Amtabh in K3G.Their acting was the best of that year.Shakti Kapor was irritating.The music by Nadeem Shravan is good and catchy and not to forget melodious.Watch this for the Amtabh and Akshay who give great performances Rating-5/10

Biwi No. 1 (1999)

Loved it

I saw this last night on my Moser Baer DVD which i got that day.I want to say that this is excellent.This is one of the best movies ever.The story is excellent.It opens when Deepak says Rupaali that she has to move on.Next we see that Prem falls for Rupaali.She even builds a house for her.Wife Pooja is angry.Then Prem leaves her to stay with Rupaali.Then with the help of her kids and her mother in law those 3 goes to Rupalis home and try to bring Prem by a series of tricks.Salman gives a brilliant performance.I think Karishma is slowly starting to improve,She gives an amazing performance,Sushmitha Sen who is my mothers favorite heroine.Anyway,She gives a FANTASTIC performance.Anil gives an another superb performance,Tabu was fairly good,Himani ShivPuri was great,The kids were cute and put on good performance.Muisc was Amazing.Cinematography is great,Chemistry between Khan and Kapoor and Khan and Sen was fantastic.This is a must see with excellent story,Excellent performances and great music

Disney scores again with one of its best

I bought this movie on a Vcd when i went on a holiday to Singapore in 2004.Everything about this is fantastic..Photography is amazing.Colors are amazing.Characters are great.Dialogs are wonderful.Story is great.It tells about 2 fishes Marlin and his child Nemo.One day Nemo is taken away.Marlin meets Dory.They go to help to find him.They go to a doctors clinic and see Nemo he is being sent away to a little girl who is destructive.But in the they save Nemo.The acting is brilliant from the characters.Casting was perfect.Voices were great.i know some hated this by calling it a lot of harsh words like Pathetic,Terrible,Waste etc.Forget them this is an awesome movie

Hum Tum (2004)

Great

I like this movie a lot i first saw it last year in December.The second time i saw it was in this January.The movie is great.Plot opens when Karan launches a book named Hum aur Tum.Then after that it goes to flashback 9 years back where he met Ria on a flight to Amsterdam.On Amsterdam he kisses her.She is angry.They leave.3 years later he meets her she is engaged to Sameer.She marries him.Now 2 years later in Paris he meets her to only know she is a widow.Humor is great.I would recommend this to everyone.The direction,cinematography,music,photography are all in top notch.The DVD and vcd cover is also in top notch.Hum Tum cartoon is great.Rani did an excellent job,Saif also did a excellent job.The music by Jatin-Lalit(who is one of my favorites)are great too.Chemistry is great too.The others especially Rati,Kirron and Rishi and not to forget Jimmy were great too.A great movie.Highly recommended

Dil (1990)

Heartwarming romance

The movie is very sweet and emotional.Direction is not bad.Script is great.Story is nice.It tells about Raja who meets Madhu.At first sight they fight.Then they discover love,Engagement is planned,But it is broken soon.They want to be together,But they marry.But they broke off.This was Inder Kumars debut who gave us entertainers like Beta,Raja,Ishq,Mann,Dhammal.Aamir gives a terrific performance he should have received best actor rather than the Pathetic Sunny Deol in Ghayal that year.Madhuri also gives another terrific performance.Deven and Anupham also give great performances.The first half has comedy that keeps you very entertained.Second half has lots of Drama and Romance that also keeps you entertained.Chemistry is wonderful.Dancing is great.Comedy is great and funny to.The music by Anand Miland is perfect.Songs like"Humne Ghar Choda Hai","Hum Pyar Karne Wala" are very emotional and are quite melodious tracks.The movie is a watch Rating-7/10

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999)

Masterpiece

This movie is the best movie i have seen after"Mr India".I never knew Bhansali could produce such a beautiful and a colorful movie.Everything about this movie is mind blowing.Direction is mind blowing,Script is excellent,Dialogs are excellent,Photography is brilliant,Costumes are excellent,Cinematography is mind blowing.Story is wonderful.It tells about Sameer who is half Indian and Italian who is going to learn music from a master singer.He falls in love with Nandini the teachers daughter.One day a love affair happens and Sameer is forced to leave.Nandini is upset.She marries Vanraj.On the wedding night she is not enthusiastic.She wants to go to Sameer.They go to Italy and Budapest.Aishwarya looks gorgeous as ever and delivers a mind blowing performance,Salman who does overacts in his movies(Except Hum Saath Saath Hain and Chori Chori Chupke Chupke).He gives a mind blowing performance,Ajay also gives another mind blowing performance,The others acted great too,The comedy is excellent,Fresh and hilarious.The on screen chemistry between Khan and Ash is mind blowing.Song picturisations are superb and the singers do a fantastic job.Anyway the music is mind blowing,The most beautiful picture of all time.Better than Devdas.Must See Rating-10/10

Karishmas debut

The 1991 flick marked the debut of Karishma Kapoor the granddaughter of the late Raj Kapoor.But this was a wrong movie to launch her.The movie was a semi hit but Karishma was criticized.She wore hot pants,Bikinis,Ugly eyes and to forget bad hair.She was only 16 then and her mother igned this for her.Karishma was the first woman in the Kapoor family to debut in the Bollywood the second was Kareena in Refugee in 2000.The hero is unknown and long forgotten.The directer Murali Mohan Rao film was lackluster.Anyway it took 5 years for Karishma to become a star.She worked with David Dawan in hits like Raja Babu,Coolie no 1,Saajan chale Sasural,Judwaa,Hero no 1,Biwi No 1,Haseena Man Jayenge and Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge.Anyway they were not her hits at all.She became a star with Raja Hindustani.And the rest i have to say is she became popular.She accomplished a lot in Dil To Pagal Hai,Fiza,Zubeidaa and Shakti.Her last movie to date is Suneel Darshans "Mere Jeevan Saathi"where she essayed a negative role.The movie became a Disaster and after that she left.As a woman she is Beautiful,Stunning and Gorgeous.Her acting is lousy in movies and not to forget childish acting

Jhoom Barabar Jhoom (2007)

Worst movie of 2007

I bought this movie because of its cover which looked colorful and the title was nice.What ever this is pathetic.Worst from Yash raj who has given us great movies like Chandni,Lamhe,Darr,Dilwale Dulhania Li Jayenge,Dil To Pagal Hai etc.The story oens when Rikki and Alvida meet they tell the story of how they meet their fiancé.Thats first half.Second half revels that the fiancé tale was false.Now Rikki wants to meet Stevee they find other people Sukhwinder and Lila.Abhisek gives a disastrous performance in an unusual character.Lara is so sexy but she could not save this movie from being the worst movie she gives an annoying performance as Anaida and Terrible performance as Lila.Preity who is talented gives her worst acting to date.Bobby is useless.Piyush is irritating and unfunny.The others are mediocre at best.The cinematography is eye pleasing with beautiful locales of London,Waterloo station and Paris and not to forget hotel Ritz and many more.Song picturisaations of Kiss of Love,Ticket to Hollywood,JbJ(Not the Bachan one) are extremely eye pleasing.Costumes are smashing.Bachan just plays a stupid joker coming 5 times without no reason and singing the mediocre title track.Everything else is bad.Script is Awful,Screenplay is Awful,Songs are forgettable.Direction is usual plain bad.Avoid at all costs(even the soundtrack also avoid it)

Two words:Crap and Boring

I watched this movie on October 29th last year i must say crap.Movie is boring.Dissapointe.Movie tells about Shekhar and Radhika who meet in New York City.Shekhar is a race car driver.Later they get married.The marriage takes place in a car(What a stupid thing).Later they get kids.One day Shekhar injures himself in a car accident.Retires soon.Later the family is thrown out of the house.The parents make some thing.Saif has always overacted in his movies and here he hams in several scenes and was plain okay in the rest.He is plain okay in the rest.Rani who is a talented heroine overacts.She is quite okay in a few also.The kids were cute but has overacted.Cinematography is dull.Everything else is quite bad.Script is bad,Dialogs are ridiculous,Screenplay is utterly predictable,Songs are forgettable,Direction is as usual plain bad

Baghban (2003)

Instant classic

I watched this movie last night on Sahara Filmy.2 words just watch it.Direction is fantastic.Script is excellent.It tells about Raj and Pooja who are an elderly couple.They have 5 kids.One of them is adopted.Years later all of them are married.But they only see there parents at occasions only.Then one day the children's ask to come with them.The parents see that they are not caring for them.Story is powerful.Amitabhs performance is marvelous,Hema performance is absolutely magnificent.Divya acted good.The 4 men which played there sons where wasted but they looked very handsome.Salman is hardly there and within a blink he is gone.Mahima is also hardly there.Costumes are brilliant.Cinematography is excellent.Chereography is great.Dialogs are great.Sets are great too.The movie is a work of art,with the emphasis on art.Hema and Amitabhs chemistry is excellent.Songs are great too.London is shoot beautifully here.In my opinion this should have won the best movie award.The performances are award winning.Instant classic not to be missed

Decent movie:Akshay is a show stealer

I found this movie decent.Script is good,Soundtrack is good,Acting is good,Decent story,Direction is decent.It opens when a tough guy is send to jail.Roma goes to that place.Then a man attacks her.Vishal saves her.Vishal says that his wife's sister to a college party.She got raped in taht party.And died.Then one night those guys come back.His wife Priya goes to the kitchen kills herself in front of those guys(In the movie they taught she was murdered).Vishal kills them and lands in jail.Roma wants to do justice.She comes across Amar and it begins.The climax is bad.Vishal dies.Akshays is the star of the movie his performance is amazing.His dialog delivery,Facial expressions etc are amazing.Raveena was great.Sunils performance is wonderfully knit.Nasserudin was great in his role.Fighting scenes are awesome.Lady which played Rita was annoying and very unrealistic and did not looked pretty.All the others acted good.The characters have gray shades(Negative ones) the others light shades."Na Kajre""Tip tip barsa pani" and "Tu Cheez badi hai mast mast"are absolutely melodious tracks.Anyway Decent.Watch it once Rating-6/10

Vishwatma (1992)

Mediocre show all the way

I watched this movie on march 21 this year.Must say disappointment.But much better than "Tridev".Plot is hackneyed.Tells about Prabhat who lives with his father,Wife and his little brother.The movie opens when he saves a bride.Anyway.Azghar Jhurhad makes a plot to kill his young brother.He makes a plan by sending few man.They come to a school pretended to be Prabhats friends.Kill that kid.His father throws him out of the house.Then later comes back.He and Aakash go to Kenya to find him.Sunny gives a good performance,Chunky was annoying at best,Naseerdun is wasted.Divya did good,Sonam was wasted,Jyotsna was wasted but looked cute.The kid which played Sunnys brother in the movie was cute.Too sad he had to get his character killed.The girl was cute but was annoying.The other kid did good.Alok did good.Kiran was adequate.Amrish and Gulshan did good.The cinematography is excellent in both India and Kenya.Script is weak but has a few good dialogs.Also drags .The movie.The music was alright.I only liked one song"Saat Samundar" the lyrics of that song was good.The other songs were forgettable.Don't watch this. Rating-3/10

Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon (2003)

What a waste of talent

I watched it just for 50 minutes on the computer at Raj Shree.Com.After watching this it is an utter waste of talent.Direction is horrible.Script and dialogs are awful.Not to forget ridiculous minor characters.The movie opens when Sanjanas last day at college.And everybody is planning a party.She is engaged to Prem.She meets him and is in love.Another one comes.She is torn between them what to do.Sooraj Bartjayta who has given us entertainers like Maine Pyar Kiya,Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Hum Saath Saath Hain terribly disappoints us big time.This must be his worst.He must have really regretted it after its failure.Hrithik gives a terrible performance.Kareena is so sexy in the movie.But sadly gives us an annoying performance. .The ones which played Sanjanas friends gives a stupid performance in stupid roles.Supporting actors give mediocre acting.I must say the parrot and the dog were rubbish..I have not seen Abhisek.Everything else is bad.Screenplay is bad,Cinematography is Awful.New Zealand is shoot AWFULLY,Songs are forgettable.+The movie is also forgettable.Give it a miss

I liked this movie.It is quite good.It is a nice feel good movie.The movie is so colorful.The story is quite confusing.It tells about Ram and his wife Mamta and there 3 sons and 1 daughter.Their 3 sons name is Vivek,Prem,Vinod.Vivek is the adopted one.Vinod is the youngest.One day on the wedding anniversary day completes a picture(I mean lot of characters).Vivek marries Sadhana.Later Prem is engaged to Sangeeta.Later Vinod is engaged to Sapna.Skip a long story.Later they all fight and are separated.The title is good and suits the story very well.Barjatyas story telling in this tale is wonderful and confusing.I liked the bond and there emotions were excellent.Mohnish does a great job.Salman did a great job too.Saif overacted in the first half but he did good in the second half.Tabu was great.Sonali was great,Neelam was good,Karishma was pathetic in an unusual role.Alok,Reema,Ajit,Rajeev and the others did good.The 3 Lady's which played Reemas friends were annoying.Himani was okay.tc.The cinematography is excellent and flawless.The music is great with excellent picturisations.One song "Yeh To Saach Hai"showcased Mohnishs character feelings very very well.Overall A good family movie Rating-7/10

I say this movie after finishing my 9th standard.I must say a great movie.Direction is magnificent.Sridevi is in top form here.She gives an amazing performance.Rishi is also in top form here giving a great performance.Sushma is also in top notch here with a great role and a great performance.The others are in top notch here too.Snakes are the star of the show along with Sridevi.The performances of the snakes is magnificent.The scenes like Sridevis introducing scenes song and changing into snakes are magnificent.The climax scenes song"Main Tera Dushman"is a MASTERPIECE sung to perfection by Kavitha Krishnamurthy.Climax scenes is mind blowing and pictured superbly.On the whole,a great movie

Koi... Mil Gaya (2003)

Good movie

This is a good movie with a good watch.The tag line of the movie is very god.Title is very good.Story is good too.Opens when Dr Mehra discovers a new thing he reports it to other scientists but they don't listen.On the way he dies in a road accident.His wife is pregnant then.He gives birth to a boy named Rohit.Years later Rohit is an adult but has a mind of a child.Then he comes across Nisha.They both discover an alien named Jadoo.The movie is nice.Hrithik is great,Preity well looking pretty as ever in a great performance,Rekha did well,Rakesh did well,The kids were great,Others were great too.To me the star of the show was the alien.He was plain excellent.Script is good and so is the dialogs.Cast is great too and so are their outfits.The cinematography is great and so is the dancing.The music is fabulous.A perfect time pass movie.A good movie with really nice songs Rating-7/10

Movie belongs to Salman

Judwaa is a plant surprise.Direction is not bad.Script is good.Story is good.It opens when a lady gives birth to twins.When they are born the nurse says that one has a bandage.Soon they get separated.One is with them.The other is in a railway track and has no one.The twist in the tale is whenever one of the child does something like fighting,kissing or eating the other twin does the same. .Cinematography is pleasant.Songs are loud and forgettable.Chereography is terrible.Background score was irritating.Anupham Kher and Satish Shah were very much annoying and could have been deleted.Karishma delivers a dreadful performance as Mala.Kader was annoying.The lady which played Rajas sister was barley wasted.The man which played Tiger was very irritating.Rambha was okay but acted better than Karishma.The movie belongs to Salman who gives a great perfromance wven though he is in his regular overacting self he has done well.The movie is a watch but just forward the songs

Om Shanti Om (2007)

Overrated

I went to this movie with my family after Diwali.This was my second movie which i went on November the first was "Jab We Met"(By the way me and my mother went for that).OSO is average.To me this should have been a Flop.To me this should not have been the no 1 movie that position should have been taken by"Jab We Met"that movie was really brilliant.The problem with this is that it is a style over substance movie.It does not have enough of substance.Story is not bad.The first half is set up in the Late 70s.It tells about Om who lives with his widowed mother.He is an aspiring.He has a friend named Papu.He falls in love with Shanti a film star.One day both are killed.Second half is set up in 2007.Both are reborn.Srk is Okay,Deepika is okay but i think the beautiful Sonam Kapoor should have won the best female debut instead of her.The script is bad.Cinematography is excellent no single mistake there.Sadly Srk becomes more commercial with this crap.But it is a good effort.The music is wonderful.The best sequence was the"Deewangi Deewangi"song.That what gets it a 4/10 i would have gave it a 3 otherwise

Baazigar (1993)

Powerful and brilliant

An excellent movie.A must watch.One of the best from Bollywood.The story is excellent.It tells about Ajay who lives with his widowed mother.he falls in love with the Chopra sisters Seema and Priya.One day murders Seema by throwing her out of a building.,The reason he does it to take revenge on Madan Chopra.Years back Madan was employed in his fathers company.Madan took control over it.Ajay and his family were thrown.One day his father and baby sister died.Years later he is back for revenge.The movie is plain excellent.This movie can only be the best debut for Srk( Deewana(1992) his first flick was a crap but not a mega crap).His performance is magnificent.Kajol does well.Shilpa is okay.Dalip did good.Rakhee supported well.The dialogs are great.Cinematography is excellent.The direction is excellent.Johnny Lever was good.The music is wonderful.A great movie.Go and watch it. Rating-9/10

Darr (1993)

Violent classic

The movie is a very good movie.one of the best from Yash raj films.The direction is incredible.The screenplay is brilliant.The story is excellent.It tells about Rahul who is obssed of Kiran his college friend.He is a full blown psycho doing things like talking to his mother on a phone(anyway she died 15 years back) etc.Kiran is engaged to Sunil.Rahul does everything so he can get her.He even trys to kill Sunil but he survives it.He even goes to the place where they are going to their honeymoon.The movie is every nes delight.Shahrukh is superb,Juhi is fairly good,Sunny is average,Anupham is okay and so is Tanvi,Dalip did good.The movie belongs to Srk.The dialogues are brilliant(Shahrukh ones and a lot if not the overacting and comedy)."Jaadu Teri Nazar" and "Tu Mere Samne" are absolutely melodious tracks.

Aaina (1993)

A brilliant film

This is one of the best movies ever.An excellent movie from Deepak Saren.The title of the movie is very good.The story is excellent.It tells about 2 sisters Reema and Roma.Reema is a happy one.Roma is a jealous one.One day Roma falls in love with Ravi.They plan the engagement.Suddenly Roma gets fashion offers after posing.On the wedding night Roma disappears.And Reema marries him.Roma enters back.But her father throws her out of the house.She goes to Reemas.Ravi does not develop a liking for her.The movie is plain brilliant.Jackie is wonderful in his role.Juhi does a great job.The Star of the show is Amrita Singh.She delivers a brilliant performance.She won the best supporting actress(The only Award for the movie).The others do well.The dialogs are excellent.There is no boring or lets fast forward scenes.The music is fabulous.The script is wonderful.A MUST SEE FLICK RATING-10/10

Yeh Dillagi is a very unique romantic comedy.It is a mixture of Romance,Comedy,Drama+Musical to keep you totalyy entertained.The story tells about the Saigal family who has 2 sons Vicky and Vijay.Vicky is obsessed of girls and has a lot of phone numbers.Vijay is obsessed of business.Then enters their drivers daughter Sapna.She meets the 2 brothers in a hilarious sequence.Her father says she will only be known as a drivers daughter.She goes to Mumbai.She is popular and is a fashion model.Soon returns home and falls in love with vicky.Soon dump off.She is in love with Vijay.A good sense of story.The comedy track is fresh and funny.Saif was superb,Kajol was superb,Akshay was great,Reema supported well,Deven was wonderful.Neena Softa is long forgotten and delivers a good performance.The dialogues are wonderful.The songs are Bouncy and are great to watch and listen.Saif and Akshay chemistry is AAAAAAAAAAAAmazing,Kajol lacks chemistry with Akshay but it is her one and only movie with him,She shares good chemistry with Saif.A great family movie

Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988)

A nice feel good romance

This is a nice movie from Mansoor Khan.The movie is fresh with new actors and play back singers.The romance was really romantic.The chemistry was nice.The movie tells about 2 rivals(Don't know there namee).Their children's Rashmi and Raj are in love.One day without telling their parents they go to a place.They are the only ones there.They are on a cliff.One day they are found by their parents.The movie is very nice.Aamir perfromed EXCELLENTLY.Juhi too performed EXCELLENTLY.Alok,Dalip,Goga,Asha and Reema supported well.There is a small Aamirs nephew Imran who appears in"Jaane tu Jaane naa"(His debut movie)appears as a child artist.The cinematography is wonderful.The opening scence was quite good.The first half is nice and so is the second half.The music is very good and are sung beautifully by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik.Overall Good movie with Good songs Rating-8/10

The movie is very good.The direction is brilliant.The screenplay is excellent.The story is brilliant.It tells about Sahil who is the son of the chief minister.He is in love with Ishika.But he is to marry Sheetal.But he wants to marry Ishika.One night Sahil find his father in a pool of blood.He is being accused.Sent to jail and soon escapes.And he goes to Sheetals house.The movie is a pure entertainer.Bobbyy is an actor who i don't appreciate but gives a good performance.Manisha does a good jjob.Kajol is the star of the movie and gives a very good performance(highlight:Kajol won the best villain award(The first lady to won the award.The second is Priyanka chopra in aitraaz(2004).The others do a good job too.This is the best movie of Rajiv Rai and this is also his last hit.The action scenes are well shoot.The cinematography is good.The title is good too.The music is quitte okay with only 4good songs.Highly recommended

Chandni (1989)

Beautiful

The movie is beautiful and well created and madde.The cinematography is beautiful.Swizterland is shoot beautifully.The chereography is excellent.The chemistry is beautuful.The title is wonderful.The movie does not drag at all.The music is beautiful.The singers do a fine job.Lyrics are wonderful.Picturisations are colourful.Sridevi is fantastic.Rishi is great.Vinod did goo.Waheeda did well.Sushma supporeted well.Mita did good.Beena did good.Anupham was good in his role.The weakness in this movie has to be the story.Same old story of a love triangle.Sometimes bollywood will make same old stories for excuse.The story gets 0/10.One last thing Juhi acted good in her cameo which lasted only for 5-7 minutes.Anyway the movie is a pure entertainer
