My Zoe (2019)

Well acted and original

Didn't read the storyline so wasn't sure what to expect, the acting was really good and the storyline moved you along gently. The filming is very underplayed, so nothing fancy, let's the viewer make up their own mind. I come away happy and although predictable towards the end, it was still a good watch. Highly recommended

Private Life (2018)

I read the reviews before watching this film and I wasn't disappointed, the acting is perfect, the sorry line carries you along like a finely tuned piano and you end up being educated along the way. I truly didn't believe people went to this much trouble to have children. But I am looking at if from someone who hasn't been there. Will keep it in my library as a classic.

Hearts in Atlantis (2001)

Feel good movie

I can't believe I missed this movie, it's got everything and very well acted by all. Good storyline, a bit of artistic license given to the main character, but keeps it believable. I also like the way hints are given at the beginning as to why certain things happen at the end, without spoonfeeding.

Very dark movie, as previous reviews have stated only certain people will relate. Only for 18+ as there is a lot of violence. Worth the watch.

Everything Timothy Spall is in turns to gold, not disappointed here. The film really only has two characters, but it feels like more and as any good movie should do it leaves you wanting more. Good family movie, and you get informed along the way.

Growing Up Smith (2015)

Searched everywhere for a feel good movie, tried the Richard Curtis movie Yesterday, and switch off and put this one on. What a difference, acting, storyline excellent and very funny too, everything a movie should be. Would recommend as a great family film.

A rip off of goodnight sweetheart, Nicholas Lindurst pulled it off better and they didn't need bring in a great singer with little acting abilities. Come on Richard Curtis you done some great original films Notting Hill is a classis, this is a rip off.
