Near Dark (1987)
A cult classic... yeah, right...
What a crapfest. This is without a doubt one of the worst movies I'd ever seen.I saw this movie because I'd trust the IMdB score and some positive reviews. What a scam. Ridiculous plot. Laughable characters, silly performances and a finale that I'm pretty sure was made on the run.
This is a cringe-worthy film, that's for sure. Only good thing I can say about this movie is that after a while it ends
Conan the Barbarian (2011)
What did I just see
Being a huge fan of 1982's movie, I was lacking expectations for this movie; And after more than a year, I decide to give it a try.
For starters, I have no idea why this is a R rated movie, the way I see it, it is a PG-13 at least. Then, while seeing this dull flick, I can't stop wondering why this is a big-budget movie, I mean, for television it would be O.K. but when you go to a movie theater, or get to buy the bluray disc, you expect more, much more for your money.
About the movie, its definitively for kids. The action sequences are poor and superficial, the Story is so full with holes and stupid clichés that after a few laughs, they start to irritate you, and if you could stand seeing this for more than half an hour, you will go WTF is this?.
So, bottom line, is this movie worth see, NO, and sadly, those are 2 hours that I wouldn't get back
Love and Death (1975)
The Best Ever
I'm a huge Woody Allen's fan, I may not like everything he does, but for this one I bowed to you, sir.
I remember seeing a clip of this movie a really long time ago. back then I had no idea which movie it was, later on came Internet and the world shrank and opened.
My only reference was that it was Woody's, developed in Russia, and his character's name: Boris.
A few years now, I found it, and had the chance to enjoy, (for me), the best movie I've ever seen. Remembering that I even seen this twice in a row, and it was totally worth it.
This movie is for all of us who enjoy really good jokes or just like to see quality films.
Leap of Faith (1992)
A great movie, somehow underrated
All good comedians, are good drama actors.
It'd been a while since I saw this movie, and I had the chance to get it, yesterday. For starters, Steve Martin was great (as he usually does), so the supporting cast.
One of the many reasons I love this movie is that it show us, graciously, a reality that many people couldn't or wouldn't accept (One of the reasons , I think, its low rate).
Do not let fanaticism cloud your judgment.
Nevertheless, if you like good stories with a nice in-message, or if you're just a fan of Mr. Martin, you can't miss this one.
