The Watch (2020–2021)

Discworld fans fall into the same trap as all other fans.

As a huge fan of Discworld, Dune and Middle Earth I have learned to realize screen adaptations will always be different and have different pacing and character changes to appeal to what we see rather than what we imagine.

Maybe it is a change in the Atreides and Harkonnen's or who rescues Frodo at the fords you have to take each interpretation on its on values. Yes this really only uses Sir TP's characters and setting in the loosest sense but on it's on it is a good and well acted drama.

Like Gaimen, Tolken, adams, Herbert... Pratchett stories are never going to be easy fit onto the small or large screen. Even the previous attempts have fallen well short of the books.

Enjoy the books and enjoy this as cousins rather than faithful adaptions and you will surely enjoy.... I mean who ever wants a cover of a song to be exactly the same. I for one as a huge Discworld fan embrace this.

Most people of power tend to fall into it eventually through wealth or there not always being a better option. To me this was a very clever ending. In time I think people will look back on this and realize that. Unfortunately people get caught up in Hype and expect the 4th man will be someone big or clever.... Well guess what it isn't always that way and It was refreshing not to go down the cliched..Hollywood endings to appease the masses. The Acting was as good as always. Tied up a lot of loose ends. A great way to end a good programme.

Working in an office for so long can make you appreciate the dynamics of a busy office, Nothing as serious as this narrative but the humor is well balanced with what the horrible things that people really do. Hard to watch but very rewarding. Hope they make a third season.

Some reviewers just look for plot holes and flaws. You guys will enjoy films more if you go with the flow and let your sense take you on a ride! If you want a thinker then there are many films for this but the horror genre is not about the Brain but the emotions. We know ghosts and aliens don't exist! To be entertained sometimes is just a thrill ....Go ask the Romans !
