XO, Kitty (2023)
what the heck was that?
What was the whole point of this story? Was it that not all first love ends up happy? Was it about exploring who you are? And where did that plot about min-ho falling in love with kitty happen? Q's character and story was the only one that made sense. Dae was a placeholder but, sorry, there was zero chemistry between her and Kitty. Yuri and Kitty, what was that? I'm all for Yuri being gay, but are we supposed to wait if there's a second season to understand what happens to that plot? Min-ho's plot needs a lot of fixing... cuz again, what was that? He was trying to be with Madison and then, plot twist, he falls in love with Kitty, just like that?
Considering this was a tv series, i expected more of a seamless and fluid story. The development of the story was sooooo crooked. It left me confused.
The Hating Game (2021)
who wrote the script?
Another bad movie adaptation... i'm blaming the scriptwriter. I kinda enjoyed the book... but the movie... jeez, what happened? It cut a lot of great scenes that could have provided context.
I still don't understand how there are writers who can't stick to what's in the book. They just decide to rewrite the entire thing and just randomly pick out scenes that would fit the story they want to tell.
I guess, the most annoying amongst them all was, danny was not supposed to be annoying. He's supposed to be the cool guy you turn into a friend/partner-in-crime. Byt here, he's a cringe.
And vicious banter was so tame. The hate was not established much.
I just wanted more from this movie.
