I enjoyed very much this excursion in the Côte d'Émeraude: beautiful landscapes and nice encounters.
There are some interesting aspects ofthis region: the seaside at low tide ( the guide Julien Avril and the crossing of the Bay of Mount Saint-Michel with the visitors-walking barefoot on the beaches-, Gilles and his children at the seashore-the looking for crabs and lobsters-), Saint-Malo and its maritime life ( the story of Jacques Cartier, Jean-Claude Varrin and the sailboat "Le Renard", the sailing school, the discovery of the oceans), the chef Fumio-Raphaël Kudaka at Cancale ( the looking for herbs at the seashore, the Paris-Cancale-Tokio restaurant, the "rillettes" his favorite food, the seaweed and the buckwhea-common points of Japan and Brittany), the Island of Jersey ( the cliff climbers John and Craig, the swimmer Sally and her friends swimming in very cold water, the fishmonger Vicky speaking about fishing-the oysters sent to New York and Tokio, the whels sent to South Korea and the lobsters-, the autonomy of Jersey and the traditional relationship with France, the exile of Victor Hugo in Jersey) and the Brocéliande forest ( the 7000 hectares of forest, the paradise for hikers-100.000 visitors each year-, the painter Séverine, the story teller Marie, the therapist Caroline and the musician Christelle).
I enjoyed the encounters of Jérôm with the guide Julien Avril, with the administrator of the abbey of Mont Saint-Michel Xavier Bailly, with the cartoonist Marie Ladame, with the butter producer Jean-Yves Bordier, with the sailingboat captainYann Perraud, with the restaurant manager Franck Meslier, with the hiker Gaëtan Ory, with the "animateur nature" Gaël Gautier, with the owner of the "malouinière" Le Puits sauvage Jean Gauttier, with Yves-Marie Gilbert and the Quic en Groigne dance group, with the windsurfer Stéphane Lefebvre and his sons in Dinard and with the owner of theFort La Latte Isabelle Joüon des Longrais; nice encounters with very kind Breton men and women.
