Robert W. Chapman is a retired social worker, an author, and screenwriter. The12 Dogs of Christmas is his only film, as the Editor. He is the father of three adult children and has three grandchildren. He is the author of A Certain Fall, (a book that gained acclaim and became a vehicle for training projects in child welfare), as well as other books. Chapman is a life long resident of the State of Maine (other than military service) and lives with his wife Janis in a coastal Maine town.
"My wife, Janis, also appears as an extra in the film. Getting involved in this production was a fluke. We took our dog up to audition her in a part as one of the dogs. She flunked. Kieth Merrill asked me to audition for a small part as they needed a male actor for the Editor. I passed. We had a lot of fun. I have remained in contact with Kieth ever since. He has been an influence on my work as a writer."

SAM ROCKWELL STEALS IT
As entertainment I gave this film 7. I rate on entertainment when I am lacking any particular factual info on films based on real events. I must add that I am a minor fan of Sam Rockwell, but I have gained much more respect for his talent as an actor. I think he is under rated generally. He stole his scenes in this film. His attention to his character's traits and his subtle tweaks to this character are impressive.
