SEAL Team: My Life for Yours (2019)
Jessica Pare
Dear Jessica,
Please do not lose any more weight. Such a gorgeous woman, if she is sick, please accept my apologies. But if you are not sick, please stop listening to anyone that thinks you need to lose weight. Please go back to your previous weight in your prior work.
I don't know who keeps telling women in Hollywood they need to look like scarecrows. It's not just Jessica but others like Jennifer Connelly that have gone this way.
You're a woman. Embrace it. Look like it.
The episode has a lot going for it. I am a fan of the character development. Can't wait to see what happens to Toni's arc.
Samaritan (2022)
A very pleasant surprise.
This movie did a great job of entertaining and had a few surprises. Stallone has been characterized as a one dimensional actor, he has always been underrated but consistently proves he is a master at his craft.
Javon is a natural and a gifted actor. The supporting cast also does an excellent job. The movie is a modern take on the movies I grew up with. I'm grateful to Amazon for including this movie as part of Prime.
I recognize the main villain fro GoT, he is great in this role and I hope he gets to expand into other types of roles.
I hope the streaming services continue to show first run movies, the theater model doesn't really work for me anymore and is just too expensive.
God's Favorite Idiot: The Angel (2022)
Why does Hollywood hate so much?
I like the show. It is one of the most original concepts I've seen from Hollywood in a long time. But why the obvious middle finger to Christianity? Why make the angel clearly gay?
I just don't understand why those who claim to be so tolerant hate so much? Otherwise it is a very enjoyable show.
Star Trek: Picard: Watcher (2022)
Oh my dear GOD
Hollywood, please stop! First choosing L. A. as a not sanctuary city. Having Guinan talk about "they're killing the planet". Prove it. Without citing computer modeling, tell me how humans are killing the planet injecting your political views I to entertainment. All you are doing is killing a franchise.
You are terrible people.
Almost Famous (2000)
Well made movie
I re watched this movie after decades and took away so much this time. Great piece of storytelling. And Frances McDormands ass is a glorious addition and distraction to a most entertaining movie.
Star Trek: Picard: Assimilation (2022)
Immigration subplot. Really?
So, two years in the future Los Angeles is no longer a sanctuary city? I see comments here complaining about wokeness and getting lots of negative down votes. So I expect I'll get many as well.
It started out ok. Just like the reboot in 2009. I wish those in Hollywood would just keep politics out of entertainment. It ruins everything. I think they should watch Ricky Gervais' Golden Globe monologue and get a clue.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021)
Science?
Yeah. Fracking doesn't cause earthquakes. It's two tectonic plates rubbing against each other generating a massive amount of energy. You know, actual science.
The Book of Boba Fett (2021)
Very good story
It is a very intricate story. It flows very well and I look forward to each episode as I have been spoiled by getting all of them at once. I prefer binging great stories, but what can you do?
I was not interested in Star Wars, as a kid I liked the first two (not a fan of the out of order thing), the third was pretty bad and the sequels were garbage imo.
The newer ones that everyone hates are better imo. The Mandalorian was a great story (except what they did to Gina), so is Boba Fett. Ming NA Wen is great as usual and absolutely gorgeous!
The Magic of Belle Isle (2012)
Nice visual page turner.
It is not often to find a movie that is simple, offers nice character growth with a nice and simple story. Often movies today don't seem to hold my attention no matter how many special effects are present.
This movie made me interested in each character in the story and I appreciate that very much. Tonight was my second time seeing the movie and I enjoyed even more this time.
The Punisher: Virtue of the Vicious (2017)
Wow
Very good episode. Have to admit, was hoping he would have shot the gun grabbing senator. Especially after using the reporter as a shield before escaping. But hey, he was important, right?
As for some of the posts here, let me clear the reporter having a gun up. She went for her purse and then realized she had given it up. She was going to defend herself-awesome.
When Frank showed up, he threw a gun to the reporter. That's how she got a gun. It wasn't bad writing. Defending her was part of his plan.
Free Guy (2021)
Hollywood still pushed PC BS
It's a sweet and charming movie. It's original, which is rare for Hollywood... But they just cannot help themselves by inserting BS left wing ideas. Since they kept it to a minimum, it wasn't too much of a distraction.
They knew they had to go slow since they have lost so much money being on the 'pandemic' bandwagon. They know if they go full woke no one will watch.
Nobody (2021)
I have not enjoyed a movie this much since..
Since seeing The first John Wick. I rented it for 48 hours and will watch it again-something I don't usually do. It's been left open for a sequel, and I hope it is better than the John Wick sequels...
The only other thing I will add-you should really see this movie with an open mind- is when the main character was making up his little shop of horrors, I was hoping for a claymore roomba.
Alexa, play welcome to the jungle and release the..
