Jonathan & Jesus (2024)
Binge This
If Jonathan Roumie hasn't already stolen your heart with his poetic and powerful portrayal of Jesus Christ on the landmark TV series, "The Chosen," by the time you're done watching "Jonathan And Jesus," he will have. This 4-episode docuseries walks us through Jonathan's life in the aftermath of his great success in portraying The Son of Man. Woven into his story are heart-warming and thought-provoking interviews with friends, family and various people of faith (musicians, actors, theologians, authors, psychologists and others) which balance out the narrative and help us understand a bit more about Jonathan's journey, his struggles with success, and his deep personal relationship with God. One of the things I love most about "Jonathan And Jesus" is how it ends. The story kind of moves backwards, and leaves us at the beginning. At Jonathan's moment of desperation, when one courageous act of surrender set the course for the rest of his life. What an amazing journey! "Jonathan And Jesus" will make you laugh ... it'll make you cry ... but above all, it'll give you hope. "God will never abandon you."
