Red Heat (1988)
boring lethal weapon rip-off
I've got to be honest i actually quite liked this when i was a kid. Being only eight year's old at the time,i'd watch any arnie film. But time's change, and arnie's starting to become old hat nowdays and like sly stalone,he isn't the shining star he once was. In the eighties, arnie was so popular, his fan's would watch any old rubbish he was in,and this was one of those films. There's no screen cemestry between arnie and belushi(this is a buddy movie after all) ,there's very little action and the action that's in the film is pretty routine, including some fight scene's with some of the most over the top punching sound effects i have ever heard. Pretty dire all in all.

Die Hard (1988)
The mother of all action movies
To be honest i dont see how anybody could dislike this movie. It apeals to everyone from male to female from young to old. It has a simple plot done in a skillfully direted fasihson by john mctiernan along with brilliant, carer making perfomance by bruce wilis as smart mouth, humanistic cop john maclane. up intill that point action hero's were very much monosalbic, musslebound killing machine's like rambo but maclane was the total oposite geting scared and even sheding tears at one point trying to get glass out of his bare feet, which made a refreshing change at the time. It's partly because of this the film is as good has it is,which most action movie before hand and since foget about.

Superman III (1983)
They should have ended the franchie with superman II
a silly, embrasing entry to a once impressive series. There's a number of thing's wrong with this film, long not to mention unfunny splapstick scene's involving richard pryor,no lois lane and above all else,CRAP SPECIAL EFFECTS. they looked fine in the first two superman film's,but they were starting to date by the time this film came out. it really should have ended with superman II because at the end of that film superman had to decide to if he was going to sacrifice his powers and fall in love with lois lane or dedicating his life to saving the world continuously in danger. he picked the later option and ditched lois lane, deciding it would be impossible for him to have a loving relationship with another human being. so why the hell is he romancing lana lang in this film. not only that but another thing that confused me was the fact that when clark went back to smallville to the school reunion,he was dressed up very much like clark kent(nerdy glasses and everything)and everyone recognised him. but clark kent dresed up normaly in the beginning of the first film. the point i am trying to make is if somebody could recognise him years later under a geeky disguise why the hell cant they recognise him when he's superman.
