I don't see romance between ChatraKhem. Just developing friendship. Something good in Khem's life as a contrast to his previous encounters (except for his friend Wan maybe). Not even bromance really. I think the romance is wishful thinking of some fans because MileApo have great chemistry and we all wanted a love story - which was removed by Pond and Ning after the first script because they felt like telling a story they wanted not what fans wanted.
I like the visuals and acting of all of them. But the editing is weird and so is the theater like feeling and the storytelling. It's an ok movie.
I definitely liked the second half better but the first half is very boring. And it definitely gets more exciting and in some parts a little bit emotional after Khem's golden costume dance but since there is no real character introduction at the beginning and so many unnecessary scenes with side characters and visual parts I couldn't really connect with the characters.
I liked the market and kite scene and the talk after that in the tree. It was cute and it made me feel the human connection of those characters but it was not enough. The movie definitely needed more of those scenes or more impactful ones not just some pretty visuals and boring political stuff which was hard to follow.
