The Baby Dance (1998)
Terrible what happened
I can't believe how Rachel's husband's attitude when he took the baby carrier to the airport and said "we don't want it". Why not just leave it at the hospital for some poor mother to take her baby home in? The baby was wanted and then suddenly when it may have mental issues, the poor thing is abandoned? Not right. These people who wanted the baby obviously had money-they could of provided good care for the baby. Shame on them. Shame. It also angered me how the other couple kept sponging for money and using the baby as a "pawn". How greedy can one get? Over all this movie was pretty good, and a tear jerker. Although not a ten in my book, I'd give it a 7.
Selena (1997)
it is my favorite
No spoilers-just only about a sound. I'd admit when I first saw the movie, I fell asleep near the last quarter of the movie (b/c I had worked all day). I woke near the end due to the sounds of sirens and then rewound it and re-watched. A few months later I watched it again and was hooked. I went out and started buying her CDs. Now I am a big fan! This is an excellent movie to those who want to know about Selena. Some fiction added but that happens in all true movies to "fill in" areas. Shot entirely in the great state of Texas you get a feel of Selena and her life. WATCH THIS!!!! Jennifer Lopez did great portraying Selena and she really looked like her in this! Chris was played by Jon Seda. There are a couple of the Dinos that are in the movie as themselves. I can name a bunch of bloopers and/or changes but I am not here. I would recommend getting the re-released 10 year anny. special of the movie. It is a two disc with the original Selena release and also the movie with some of the deleted scenes. Also on the discs are interviews and other scenes deleted. You will love this and it is a must for all Selena fans!
For My Daughter's Honor (1996)
saw this last night (may contain spoilers not sure)
I saw this movie last night on Lifetime movies and it is getting ready to come on again in a hour or so. The movie kind of reminded me of my crush I had on a coach, although I was in college and nothing like that happened. I can honestly feel the frustrations on the "feelings" she had and even his. Although it was all together wrong. I am married to an older man, but I was already in my late 20s when it started. One thing if this guy was "in love" with her, he should of divorced his wife and waited until she was of age. However he was just sick minded and wanted a young piece and needed help. He should of backed away when she said she wanted it over. He, being an adult and a teacher should of been the mature one and not let this crush get to him. Crushes happen all the time with students towards their teachers. I had crushes on teachers in Jr. High (and then later to a coach but like I said, in college), but thank God none of them took advantage of me like that. Teachers and coaches and other adults should expect this, and know where the line is drawn. Great movie and the actors did a great job!
