Making the Witcher: Season 2 (2021)
They tried.
The first Witcher season was so captivating and exciting! We learned a lot about the characters, there were good jokes, there was an excellent plot, and the ending had a magnificent ending.
Fast foward to season 2. Lots of main characters felt very boring, Yenefer especially. I get that the character was dealt quite a loss; but, she just didn't wow me like she did in season 1, using magic or not.
They had some good action scenes, and I loved watching Ciri train; but, the story just felt rushed and uninspiring. Season 1, my wife and binge-watched in a weekend. Season 2, my wife couldn't get into it, and I had to take 4+ tries to finish the season and really wish I didn't.
I really hope they give us a good Season 3, otherwise I'm sticking with the games.
Blockbuster (2022)
I can't even get past the pilot!
Save your time and go elsewhere.
I paused this show 5 minutes in and almost gave up. But, I felt that was unfair and I like Fumero from Brooklynn Nine-Nine, and I also like Randall from various places (like The Office).
I paused again at the 11:30 minute mark and decided I would check the show's rating to find out if it's one of those shows that takes a while to get to the good parts.
This show is (currently) rated a 5/10, and I can't agree more from what I've seen so far. It has so much potential; but, it fails miserably at the delivery. It just feels like I'm watching a show that has copied so many other shows that it doesn't know which direction it needs to go or what kind of comedy to use.
As another user pointed out. Netflix is 2 for 2 on ruining Blockbuster.
