Simple not a good movie...
Audiences tend to have different standards for domestic movies and asian cinema, especially Hong Kong and contemporary Japanese films. Do these asian movies have different auras? Is the distinction that vast? Hong Kong cinema definitely has their own style, somewhat uninfluenced by hollywood; for that I praise them. Infernal Affairs is simply not a good movie. It is a steroid paced flick from beggining to end, with not an ounce of character development. There are so much trivial detail "add ons"; I guess this is their attempt at a story. Such as Tony having an encounter with his ex, his relationship with his therapist, and the juxtaposition of Andy's wife writing that story. The essence of this movie have been blatantly ripped off from Face Off, I don't think anyone can deny that. Sure the ending is good, but that alone can't save this crap. 5/10
Once Upon a Time in America (1984)
Hard to rate
I Viewed the first half (1st disc), then saw the second half, quite a time apart. I felt like they were 2 different movies, the first half being a lot better. Ultimately the ending is flawed because, the "climatic" betrayal is never foreshadowed, not even in the slightest subtle way. There for finale, the twist, is not one...
Jackie Brown (1997)
Where is the creativity?
Besides the Tarantino dialogue, everything else is below par. The movie's attempts at plot twists were to predictable. It still is a good movie but just not on the same level as Pulp Fiction. I enjoyed this movie, but I stopped midway way through to go get some Chinese food. I don't know how much that says but I definitely like watching my movies in one sitting.

I hate manga adaptations...
Wow this movie sucked big time. I heard this movie expresses the meaning of friendship very well. And with all the internet hype on this movie I figured what could go wrong? However the movie was just plain bad. It was boring and the character development was never there. Space Travelers was also a horrible movie, if you didn't like that movie there is no way you will like this.

Disappointed yet still recommended
I had extremely high expectations for this movie. After hearing this movie wasn't well received in Korea, I've learned to know the reasons behind it. While this movie was in production there was a lot of hype on it, after all it did star Zhang ZiYi and it's pretty high budget to complement the event. The problem is the movie doesn't go anywhere it's too single dimensional. Just one long linear plot, Kind of like the movie "Ali", not that the movie is similar in anyways, but I got the same impression watching it. The movie is an epic with a lot of anti-climatic attributes, not so much the end but through out the movie. The movie was also plagued with too many trivial conceptions, meaning you ask your self how is this movie nearly 3 hours? Of course the movie had it's strong points. The cinematography was excellent and the action easily rivals `brave heart`. The story itself was a good one, its just based on my expectations was it disappointing. I wasn't thoroughly entertained that was my main complaint, the movie just didn't deliver. Nonetheless it's a solid film and I recommend it. 7/10

The Worst movie ever made?
I bought the dvd after reading a couple of good reviews and a interesting synopsis. I like the idea that instead of a live action anime that would never work (like Dragonball live action) they instead had a character resemblance movie. That was a clever idea to execute the movie and at the same time make it closely based on a Japanese animation. However 30 minutes into the movie it became a disaster case. It was unbelievablely corny. Anyone who finds this movie good, has serious problems and has absolutely no taste in movies what so ever.

Relate to it...
I think everyone has his or her share of sick thoughts. Who knows how imaginations or ideas rendered into the minds of the norm, but its their somewhere in our heads. Of course thinking it, saying it, and actually doing it each contrasts greatly from one another. Sadly yet naturally the society we live in (Japan Or America) results us to create such deranged ideas and fantasize it in awe or disgust. The movie exploits that into a black comedy. People claim to have been shocked but everyone broken out of childhood innocence should be able to comprehend the movie in such a manner...

Like Goodfellas...
The movie was on the same basis as Goodfellas. It showed the social life of a drug dealer in a period of 3 decades (coincidently the same period as Goodfellas) displaying the rise, the prime, and the fall of career. It was actually too similar, beginning the movie in his childhood, with his present narrative...
Jackass: The Movie (2002)
Basically, just 4 episodes put together....
Some Of the Ideas weren't even original, and came straight from the series. The show obviously was limited to what they can or cannot do,
The show differed because the series mostly aimed at victimizing people and capturing the spectators reactions, and that was the funny part. Since the movie had alot more freedom, they perfered to do gross out stunts, which based upon your taste is better or worst. One of the stunts (which you may easily guess) was just plain nasty and not even remotely funny.... Overall I give it a 8/10 its pure entertainment...

Not bad...
The movie was pretty good. But I can't understand why this movie was the highest budget in Korea history. It has just about the same aspects as a typical Hong Kong kung Fu movie. The Movie more so, depended on the story, because the Action was done way to sloppy (too many camera shots/cuts, you could barley comprehend who is doing what to who, its that type of action. That was probably the biggest disappointment of the movie. The plot suffers from some major flaws, like introducing a love interest out of no where in the middle of the story...
Dip huet seung hung (1989)
Overrated?
This is the type of movie where 10 bad guys are shooting automatics aimed for a single person with a pistol. Whats so entertaining about that? Although its just a movie, its just plain unrealistic, if it were a real situation Chow Yun would of got clapped in less then 5 seconds, despite how good his skills are... To all the people who have yet to see the movie, think about it? Isn't it farfetched to a point where you say to your self like W.T.F. How is a man who has no cover, going to dodge simultaneously incoming bullets by the hundred? Now some may like that type of action. Then you my friend is one confused person...
Also the movie is filled with cliches. Although Killer may have invented some of them, they are still corny and cheesy. This has to be the most over rated movie in IMDB as far as the votes go. This movie deserves around 6.5.
From Dusk Till Dawn (1996)
terrible... What were they thinking?
This is probably the worst "hollywood" budget movie I have seen in my life. Words cant describe to the full extent of how bad this movie is. Everything about this movie is horrible. Rent it just to see how bad a movie can get.
Signs (2002)
Horr...........ible
The one correct metaphore used in this movie is the corn field, where much of the movie takes place... because the movie is indeed corny. This movie will make(let) you appreciate the movie sixth sense far more then you ever did.
Versus (2000)
Watch it, while intoxicated
The Direction the movie took, was obviously a non-serious compilation of gestures. That Over-used Gore to fufill the "fun factor" the movie so very intended. I think if you watch it with other people, you'll have whole lot better time enjoying it, like what I read before a "Party movie"... But if you watch this movie alone at night, it just may be arguably the worst movie you ever saw...
I Give this movie a 7/10... The Beginning was retarded, and make you lose all desire to watch the rest of the movie, but the movie get better and better as it goes along and has a pretty neat ending....

Get it bootleg...
After hearing many negative reviews I went ahead and bought the movie anyways.. The beginnging seemed like there was hope for the movie... but that hope soon went away... The only thing that was in place was the beginning and the end, and everything in between was put together like a puzzle. They Introduce characters out of the blue, and had nothing to do with the plot. The special affects were pretty good, but there was only 1 scene of Kung Fu martial arts (Zang Zi Yi).. The acting was overall cheap, and there are very few good things to say about this movie..
I'll give this movie a 5/10...
