One Day (2024)
Outstanding, emotional, nostalgic
I adored this series! The acting was second to none. The character of Emma - brilliantly done by Mod. I wasn't expecting to love this series as much as I did. The soundtrack was amazing and so nostalgic! Seeing the UK through the years also so nostalgic. Everyone should watch this series. I have never read the book or seems the 2011 movie and I don't think I will!
Prepare for an emotional rollercoaster! I hope to see a lot more of these two wonderful lead actors. Emotional, funny, easy to watch. Chemistry between them was off the chart. My hubbie hates rom-cons but loved this too. Give it a watch.
Miraculous - Le film (2023)
Quite good but lacks humour of series
Myself and my kids were so so excited for this! The characters are true to the series and the villains style too. If you're a true fan of MLB then you'll enjoy. I did feel it wasn't as funny/cheesy as the series which is why I love the series so much and it does spend a lot of time on character development and the love story part. The singing was unexpected abs quite frankly annoying! Hardly any happy songs. My daughters liked the singing but I think I would've rated higher if the singing wasn't there.
On the whole an ok start to a movie franchise but hopefully more chemistry and humour in the second one.
The Last of Us (2023)
I love Joel
This show is phenomenal and I was totally surprised by how addicted I was. A week was too long between episodes. I loved how there wasn't too much emphasis on the actual monsters/infected and more about the relationship of Joel and Ellie. Two fantastic actors. Although there's just the right amount of special affects to keep you interested in seeing more but not getting sick of it and overwhelmed- a bit like the white walkers in GOT! My favourite ep was the one where Ellie was trapped in the cult about to be chopped up. The scene where she runs out and bumps into Joel was so emotional. My husband even teared up!
Can't wait for season 2.
