The Passion of the Christ (2004)
I was never a Mel Gibson fan - til today, Ash Wednesday, the 25th of February, 2004.
Mel Gibson's "The Passion of The Christ" answers the question, "What killed Christ?" What kills all Goodness, Love, Peace? Evil, fear, violence. What difference does it make what cruelty calls itself? The Beauty of this film's brutality I could not even watch, but merely listen to, is that it never once pretends violence is anything other than sadism. It's never glorified. It's never justified. You can't even hate the administrators, who are too numerous to count. You can only pity them all. Pity. "Pieta, Signore". Thank you, Mel. For reminding us of God's Mercy, of Christ's Sacrifice, of humanity's sins. After mardi gras, a mercredi mince.

It's a Treasure of New York, The Theatre, Americana, Gypsies, Histories, and Dreams come true, by the dreamers who dreamed them, lived them, and vividly recount them, thanks to Mc Kay.
