Hoarders: Three Amigos (2019)
An amazing episode
I felt like I was watching a movie when I saw this episode, and not a reality tv show! It was amazing, the structure was different from most Hoarders episodes and it worked so well. I definitely cried seeing this episode, and the ending was so sweet. The three amigos are amazing people and their families are so sweet and loving. Props to Dr Green, she was able to uncover the root of the problem and I am glad that Hoarders actually showed her helping with their issues, which normally isn't seen much in this show. I am just so stunned by this episode and it will stay with me for a long long time.
The Party (2017)
Watched it for Cillian Murphy, stayed for the comedy
I only watched this because of Cillian Murphy, and wasn't expecting much. The trailers made it look okay, and I don't really think a lot of comedy movies are actually funny. Well, I was surprised! I was laughing the whole time, and wished it was longer. Cillian's acting is taken to a new level in this movie, beyond what I had seen from him in the past. He was definitely the best character. Even the political humor made me laugh. The plot was also very good and interesting. The characters each add different types of comedy to the movie, and the dialogue is well written. I am excited to watch this movie again!
In Time (2011)
Not even Cillian Murphy could save this movie
The concept is great, however, it is poorly executed. Things were not explained well and I found myself confused a lot. A lot of characters were completely unnecessary. Sylvia was just a spoiled teen who wanted some danger in her life. I liked her hair but that was about it. They tried to make Cillian Murphy's character and the rich dad unlikeable but I didn't dislike them at all, I disliked Will and Sylvia more. It kind of seemed like a kid wrote the script, and was very cringey at times. Just... meh. It seemed like they added the detail of people looking 25 forever just to have an attractive cast. Did not understand the point of that at all.
Family Guy (1999)
It's okay..... but some episodes seem like they aren't trying
Family guy is nice to watch. However, I don't particularly like the humor, I don't understand the jokes, and sometimes it seems like they aren't even trying to make a good episode. It just feels like the creators are forcing what they think is funny on the viewers, to the point where it's not funny anymore. The jokes got old fast, and every episode just feels the same. There are not many more unique ideas or interesting plots. However, the show is still entertaining, just not all it is cracked up to be. It is something I can play in the background when I'm doing other stuff, but not episodes I will really and fully enjoy.
American Dad! (2005)
My favorite show, and a million times better than Family Guy
Everything about this show is amazing. It is hilarious, and the characters are amazing. Roger and his personas is genius, and Stan's job at the CIA allows for a lot of unique ideas. While Family Guy is nice to watch, its jokes got old fast, and they seem to struggle with new and creative episode ideas. Also I hate the cutaways. American Dad is actually funny, and it is a lot different from Family Guy. The characters in American Dad are all unique, well-developed, and equally lovable. They have depth, and seem more like real people than just 2D characters. This is something that Family Guy seems to struggle with, with most charters besides Stewie and Brian having their personalities being very one dimensional and underdeveloped. Each American Dad episode is carefully crafted into a masterpiece. The episodes seem to have much more thought put into them than Family Guy. It is the best.
