Fargo: The Nadir (2020)
The Tale That Keeps On Giving
The betrayals, the lies, the twisty, turny show this season makes me wish for a 23 episode season! If you haven't kept up, why? So good.
Fargo: The Birthplace of Civilization (2020)
Overall Great Season
The storyline is still awesome, I love this KC slant on mob operations & I can't disagree with their visualization. Great acting, Chris Rock & I'm newly introduced to Doctor Senator, looked up his filmology as I want to see him in other roles.
Extraction (2020)
Lots of Action
Other than the fact the bad guys seem to be in every obscure location they try to hide, the action is nonstop. Crazy situations with a new scene in which to play out this drama. I enjoyed it, great escapism & crazy situations.
The Plot Against America: Part 5 (2020)
This Crossover Imitates Today's America
We waited 80 years but finally got our Lindbergh who uses these petty hatreds turning us against another. Although Herman thinks he's a 2nd generation American he finds out Christians aren't so Christ-like. I find this episode frightening as it shows the evil the humans do towards 'others' that are scapegoated via the medium of the day. Excellent episode.
Little Fires Everywhere: The Spark (2020)
Follows the Book!
So far, I'm enjoying it as much as the book. Reese Witherspoon is playing against Kerry Washington is just perfect. So glad they made this into a series. Love it so far!
The New Pope: Episode #1.8 (2020)
Great Series
I'm an atheist, yet find this series (The Young Pope & The New Pope) most interesting, well written & fascinating in regard to the politicsthat rule the office. I love the characters and the sins they are caught bare naked performing and the hatred / hypocrisy the poor & nuns suffer. I particularly love Lenny Belardo!
Hunters (2020)
Ummm Comic Book Hunters?
POS Nazis got away thanks to many countries , including the USA, not to mention the Catholic Church. Weird show, kind of comic book like with the club of 'hunters'. Hmmm maybe this is subtle digs at the Trump administration. Hope it gets better. Ridiculous so far.
The Two Popes (2019)
Atheist Who Loves the Movie
Beautifully written and interesting as the entire movie surrounds these two mortals discussing what the world needs & how to achieve the live, sharing, empathy & more that was the New Testament. They each hold their strongly held opinions, yet willingly discuss the validity of known truths against the fantasy of what should be. Pope Francis envelopes a sharp change from the firm dogma & exclusion of empathy for the poor, different sexuality & acting against pedophiles hiding behind priests robes, for which Pope Benedict embraces as 'gods' will. Pope Francis is truly the man for the century dragging the Church into modern times.
Watchmen: This Extraordinary Being (2019)
Smartest Show on TV
The mystery unfolds slowly & the back story of Hooded Justice was just amazing! I love this show, hate to see it end, but I also want to see the end! I await with bated breath.
IMDbrief: "Stranger Things" Season 4 Questions (2019)
Season 2 Was Lame
They redeemed themselves with this season, very 80's feel. This is the generation of R that are poisoning our reality today. I'm glad I decided to give it a go, very entertaining. If these so called bored reviewers couldn't stand the show why in the H did they bother to watch it? Let alone rate it. I enjoyed the summer escapism from my boring life.
NOS4A2 (2019)
Started Slow - Getting Better
For one thing the makeup on Zachary Quinto is awesome as old creepy Manx. First it bothered me with the age up of the kid and the time period, motorcycle, etc. but now the story is taking off and I'm glad I've stuck with it. Mr. Hill like his father created a universe within their stories that are incredibly difficult to make into a film. The inner dialog is hard to write in the series, but it's getting better & I recommend you watch it.
PEN15 (2019)
Great Series Regarding the Early Teen Years
I really enjoy he show except why did the 31 year old writers have to also play the main characters. No way these two look 13 years old. I'm sure people closer to the correct age could play these parts.
Atlanta: Value (2016)
Great Episode!
Finally seeing the female side of the struggle, not all the macho posturing. I thoroughly enjoyed this episode and love the show.
Castle Rock (2018)
Great Series!
I love this storyline and Kings obsession with alternate realities-the multi-universe is sliced thin in wafer thin slices allowing different worlds to interact. It's fun to watch and I live it.
The Sinner: Part II (2018)
Interesting Premise,.....
But, do detectives really become that concerned over open/shut cases? Maybe in small towns where there's one murder a year. Big cities certainly don't care to find out why, they only care who & when.
