Beneath Us All (2023)
Great film, director, and talented group of actors.
Beneath Us All is a very well written script teamed with a talented group of actors led by a great director and crew. It begins with a group of Vikings tracking down a vampire and trapping him and burying him. Fast forward many years later we are introduced to a set of foster parents who have a child in their care who is about to turn 18 and will be released from the system. Julie the teen girl stumbles upon the grave deep in the woods behind her foster parents home in which our vampire played by Yan is in tombed and releases him. She keeps him in a barn in the woods at first but soon he escapes and starts feeding on people in the neighborhood to regain his strength. He soon turns his sights on Julie and from there you will be on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next. A great film from beginning to end full of suspense, drama, mystery, horror, and thriller. A must see.
Flamin' Hot (2023)
Very good film.
Admittedly I only watched it because it had Brice the Dice Gonzalez who as you all know got his start doing TikTok s with his late dad. I also love him on Lopez vs Lopez. Everyone saying it's not a true story is crazy. Most of the movies made are not true stories. I found this movie inspiring, funny, and entertaining. I had three teenagers in my house watching this and it kept their attention through out the whole film. The acting was great and Eva's directoral debut was amazing. I look forward to watching this movie again. It's a great rags to riches film and gives hope to anyone on the bottom trying to make it to the top.
Still (2023)
Brilliant and amazing.
I have been a Michael J fox fan just about all my life. I loved every minute of the documentary. I felt so bad for him when he fell while walking at the beginning. I could feel his frustration and pain. The makers of this film did such an amazing job of putting this together using old video clips of his movies TV shows and interviews. I had forgotten when I was a kid I remember hearing about him having to sell parts of his sofa to survive. That unlocked some great memories of him from those days. To go from that to the huge star he was and still is to this day. I will forever love him and will miss him when he's gone.
Lopez vs. Lopez (2022)
I'll give it a shot.
Saw a TikTok video about this and decided to check it out. I was so excited to Brice Gonzalez from tiktok on here. I am such a huge fan of his. I hope Hollywood treats him well and I'm looking forward to seeing him on this show.
I enjoyed the first episode and hope they are able to build on it. I was a fan ofthe first George Lopez show and was at first thinking this might be a reboot but I think it will do good.
It would be nice to see some of the characters from that show make guest appearances. I did love that they brought the theme song from the first show on. You have expect some kind of crossover.
Beaches (2017)
Absolutely disappointed.
When I came across this on Hulu today I got real excited. I'm a huge fan of the original. I started watching it and my excitement quickly turned into disappointment. They missed so much opportunity to bring some of the aspects of the original into this film. The it'll keep you honest line was always one of my favorites from the original and I was sad to see they didn't include it in this one. It seemed rushed and the acting was horrible. Her version of wind beneath My wings made me cringe. I bawl like a baby every time I watch the original one. I only teared up at the end when I saw Hillary's little girl crying.
