Mildly formulaic in plot, but a fun adventure regardless.

I saw Dial with two of my friends in the theater, and what I can say is that it wasn't the best Indy movie, but certainly not the worst either. There's no denying that Harrison Ford's age and the digital era of CGI provide some complications here, but they make it work most of the time. In regard to the use of CGI in the beginning, it could've looked better, but I didn't really mind, as long as I focused more on the story. In terms of the story, it works well as an Indy film although the plot is similar to others in the franchise. The action is great for the most part. The climax in the plane can be confusing to some, but I found that part very entertaining. Waller-Bridges's character as Indy's goddaughter is a little awkward, but it's tolerable.

Overall, if you're looking for a light, fun yet sometimes intense Indy adventure, you're in for a good film.
