The Batman (2022)
5/10
Boring and uneventful
12 March 2022
Highly anticipated. Extremely underwhelmed. Matt Reeves should not have been given this film. The script was poor. The overall writing was just disappointing. There isn't one memorable aspect of the film worth reliving in my head. Way too long and far from interesting. I know what he was attempting to do, but he was widely off the mark. The only positive Is the dark, gritty and gloomy atmosphere the film produces. The backdrop was great, the execution was absolutely terrible. And not one great fight scene. Pathetic! Isn't Batman a martial artist??

Absolute Trash
17 July 2021
This show was terribly slow and uneventful. It has no action, no violence, no suspense. The show is about a Man and a Woman that have an affair. But that's it. An affair for 6 episodes and then a twist. The twist has has nothing to do with the show. This could have been condensed into 4 episodes. Absolutely shocking show.

If you like good television like The Sopranos, The Night Of, Bodyguard, Big Little Lies, Mare Of Easttown etc...Then stay away from this nonsense.

What Did I just waste 2.5 hours watching?

Trash! Slow...Boring...Lacking an actual story (meaning beginning, middle and end)...The irrelevant sub stories...The boring characters...The lack of explainations. Actually, I was writing this with 4 mins left of the film. It just finished. Terrible ending. Ask me what this film is about, I would not be able to tell you. A complete waste of my time!

Boring!
9 May 2015
IMDb has this film tagged as Crime, Drama, Romance and in that order. They need the change it to Romance, Drama, Crime. After the first part of the movie where we see a murder scene and a young Amish by is the key witness, we are lead to believe that it will be the main storyline and the movie will go down this path. It doesn't. That story takes a back seat and the pace gets slower and the movie gets extremely boring. Amish people are quite one dimensional, if you know what their lifestyle is about, then I'm pretty sure you can guess how exciting the movie is considering that most of it takes place in their community. This movie was described as a Thriller...the only time I was thrilled was when it ended.

Oh, and at the end, Harrison Ford just ends up telling the guy off like it was a toddler misbehaving.

The Krays (1990)
4/10
Decent movie at best, The remake is very welcomed

I watched this movie years after it's original release. I was 3 when it came out. Having now watched it, I can't say that I enjoyed it much. I love Gangster movies, movies with violence, especially with a story behind it, And as this is based on real life, it's hard to be too critical (I haven't read any book on The Krays, but have read several pieces on them). My main issue was the awful acting from most of the cast, chiefly (but not only) Kate Hardie's portrayal of Frances. Her acting was terrible, I also have to say the Kemp brothers weren't amazing, although I do believe that both are decent actors, I put it down to early work.

I didn't feel the tension through the conflict with their enemies. It was a bit too slow and nothing ever really got going. It felt like random acts of violence. The music and camera shots gave it more of a creepy horror movie vibe. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Big Fish In A Small Pond!
6 March 2015
Owning so many movies of different genres, I always find it difficult to choose something to watch. I was looking for something to enjoy on a Thursday afternoon having nothing on my agenda due to work being called off. I am a fan of Ewan Mcgregor & also Albert Finney. Brilliant character portrayal by both. Without talking about the movie too much, It has elements that make for wonderful viewing. It Captures the imagination of Children AND Adults with the vivid story telling and re-enactments. All in all, with the Father/Son relationship, A man's journey, elaborate "Tall Tales" & the mystery behind it all, this thought provoking movie is definitely worth the watch and maybe another...
