No Night Is Too Long (2002)
formidable
marvellous film making is the only way to describe this film. Such a flawed beautiful love, for Marc the new boyfriend had been prostituting himself probably since he was a child on the living on the beachfront:so for our anti hero this is his family life. Our doomed learned lover astute this and prostitution is where the money kept in the transformed book comes. Just fabulous how this story is portrayed. the thread of sex relations in the lead actors' school to eventuating in the excess enthusiasm for Isabel. the actors are superb. photography, editing, bravo. i have seen a couple of these quality bbc productions and they are each astoundingly superb. Bravo both leads are astoundingly good and this film needs to be extensively seen and subtitled. Only the English could do such good drama.

Sunshine (2007)
spectacular
Pared back beautifully, Sunshine is a new arrival in the best of sci-fi series. This is such a well made film it will age very well rather than date in the same way as most everything else inevitably does. Within the sunshine experience nothing is trite and so the all of the film achieves a new, refreshing resonance not often achieved on the silver screen. There is just enough so as to keep the viewer enticed and so all extraneous indulgence creating fault in many movie experience is not to be found.
great visuals, soundtrack, screen play and acting.
put me off sunbeds for an eternity.
bravo indeed
Imaginary Heroes (2004)
20th April 2007
Have just seen this film, in Australia on satellite. As i have been avoiding the news more so than usual over the last week coming from the US of A regarding gunmen, well to be absolutely blunt, this film is a prescient gem. A big bravo to all involved. i had only a small idea of what the film entailed as is most often the case for good effect and this certainly came up with cinematic goods. the setting of the scene is effective in the truest sense of the word, with all the hairy confronting subjects of today's world in relation to one's own faltering family, albeit suburb. The first forty minutes sets such a professional theater i was not ready for the out loud laughs when they came. Although the cathartic moment built via comedy and character as the family and neighbors came together in an extraordinary way.
All in all a foreseeing of who and what we are. A most meaningful film and a must see.
