Hangman (II) (2015)

Borefest

Hangman...an hour and 25 minute found footage horror film, what a wast of my time. Watching this film had very similar vibes and nearly exact details as Keep Watching a 2017 film with a more intriguing story and better execution. Back to hangman, what I didn't enjoy was the fact that the intruder did practically nothing until the very end and a disappointing end to. The acting was fine but the story could've been written better. I wanted to like this movie but with an hour and a half runtime and only 5 minutes of actual action and 10 minutes of drama I really don't recommend this unless you like Ty Simpkins which was my case to begin with. So my final rating 3/10.

Mystery Incorporated (2022– )

Nostalgic & Intriguing

I was surprised when I saw this on my feed, I watched Velma the new animated series which is okay but doesn't do justice of the original. But this! This is how you do a modern retelling of a story. Mystery Incorporated does justice far better than Velma does, having Scoob there as well made it 10x better. The casting for the characters was pretty spot on in my head and I loved how they clearly made Shaggy a stoner. Each character portrayal was excellent! And the storyline is great as well, I loved how they changed it to be where they weren't friends that liked monster/ ghost hunting they were just kids pulled into this by misadventure. When I saw the trailer for the first time I truly thought it was a new CW show, and then when I saw that it wasn't I was genuinely impressed by everyone who made this so cutos to them for making such a compelling story and a beautifully crafted series. I cannot wait for the rest of the series!

Little Fires Everywhere (2020)

An intriguing idea wonderful performance

I saw this series two years ago and I decided to rewatch it today and I can definitely say that I'm glad I did, because this was and is one of my favorite shows. I loved everyone's performance they are all extremely and incredibly talented, I was blown away by most of their performances especially the actors who played Lizzie, Lexi, and Perl. My favorite episode would have to be the very last because that fight they had at the end had me tear up. The storyline was interesting enough to keep me invested and was able to keep me going, however that doesn't mean I particularly it enjoyed the entirety of it. I loved everything (almost) about it what I didn't like was the lack of communication between the characters and the horrible decisions they made. The May Ling story as well, in my opinion I think it was the right thing to give custody to the other people and not Bebe. I get it she's the mother but she didn't have enough resources for her child she didn't have the money and she didn't have a safe space. For me it's better for that child not to live in poverty and it would've been a better idea to let the baby live a better life. What I also didn't like was Mia encouraging her (Bebe) that was annoying and she didn't even know her for long. Anyways I'm getting carried away, besides those I honestly really enjoyed this show. Solid 8/10.

The Night Sitter (2018)

Not great but watchable

This movie kept me invested all the way through, I started to love Jack Champion after Avatar The Way of The Water and I wanted to see the films that he was in. So I went to watch this and I am surprised to say that I actually enjoyed watching this movie. I didn't read the reviews or watch the trailer so I went completely blind into the movie and though there were some questionable decisions made I was able to sit through it and I enjoyed it. Let's start off with what I liked, the gore in this movie was very graphic which is my kind of movie, I loved how campy this film was, it had enough horror elements where I was on the edge of my seat and enough humor to keep me watching, and Jack Champion was in it which made the movie a little better. Now with the things I didn't like, the acting could've been better not the worst I've seen but it wasn't great, this story concept has been done so many times. There's not much I disliked about the movie besides the acting and the story, besides those two I really liked the movie. I would give this movie a 4/10 if it weren't for Jack Champion.

Gåsmamman (2015–2022)

So far intriguing yet infuriating

I'm on season 2 of Gåsmamman and Sonja the mother is getting in my nerves constantly I mean seriously how can someone be that stubborn and straight up just stupid. And that goes with the sister as well Nina, she doesn't piss me off as much as the mother but season two is full of stupid and idiotic decisions. So far into the series Gustav and Linus are the ONLY two characters I actually like. This isn't much of a review but I wanted to rant about this. I do hope this series gets better especially the characters because I am very close to quitting...not really I'll probably just skip scenes just to see gustav or Linus. Linus especially I love Edvin Rydings.

Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile (2022)

Enjoyable a little confusing

I read a few of the reviews most of them being positive and some negative. So I was a little nervous to watch however I actually enjoyed the movie, the songs were really good I love Shawn Mendes so I enjoyed a little more. The acting was good as well. It was pretty cool seeing Murray from Stranger Things. Though it was a good movie there were some aspects of the story that were confusing. I heard it was based off a book so I'm not sure how accurate it is but parts of the story didn't make sense. For example Lyle can sing but why can't he talk, he can only sing? I'm not sure what or how that works. I also wished that Shawn had a speaking role because he's a good actor so it would've been cool to hear him talk. Otherwise It it was really good I definitely recommend it! I'd rate it an 8/10.

Samaritan (I) (2022)

The storyline was pretty plain and pretty predictable. Javon who plays Sam did an okay job the actors were okay I feel like there was little to no chemistry with them and at some points it did seem a little forced. Line delivery as well, it wasn't great I can tell there was a lot of ADR either that or the sound production on this wasn't the best it would either be to loud for the watcher to hear the dialogue or to quiet. I liked the action sequences the most of the whole movie but other than that the movie was okay. Better casting would be nice especially for the kid nothing against Javon but they could've done better overall.

Secret Headquarters (2022)

Enjoyable

For a kids movie I'd say it's pretty enjoyable. I loved the comedy, and the action sequences were pretty cool. The gadgets they used were impressive and I enjoyed how they each had their own gimmick and learned how to use it. The acting could use some work but it was still fun to watch. I liked the casting I loved Walker Scobell after The Adam Project so it was nice seeing him playing other roles. I wouldn't watch it again but it's a good family movie for a movie night.

Summer of 84 (2018)

Stranger Things without supernatural

It gave me a mix of Stranger Things and The Black Phone. In my opinion it was really good the ending could've been better but overall an interesting storyline and nice cast acting could use a little work but it's better than nothing. They all did well their performances were average and believable I love some of the comedy in this as well as the suspense I felt like they overused many jump scares wouldn't hurt to use less but other than that it a good movie.

The Black Phone (2021)

Enjoyable but missing a few things

When I saw the trailer last year I was very excited for this movie to come out I had high expectations for this movie and now that I was able to see it I am glad to say that I was highly impressed, and it did reach my expectations.

Ethan Hawke who played the Grabber did a horrifyingly stunning job, I wish there was more depth in his character and it would've been nice to see more into the Blake siblings' mother. Otherwise, The movie was great! The story was very intriguing and the acting was phenomenal. I was impressed most of all by the child actors, especially Gwendolyn Blake played by Madeleine McGraw during the kitchen scene. She blew me away with her acting she brought me close to tears. Mason Thames who played Finney Blake did a phenomenal job as well, for an intense movie like this I was blown away by both their acting skills. The story has its plot holes but it's still a pretty decent horror/suspense. I give it a 9/10 I enjoyed every minute of it and I'd gladly watch it again in theaters. Definitely recommend!

Thrill Ride (2016)

Good but could've done better

To be completely honest I was only interested because Lucas Zumann was in this, seeing how this is a kids movie I'll go light on my spoiler free review. The story it self was really good I liked the imagery and I loved the comedy the acting was questionable, line delivery needs some work, and the graphics were pretty cute ( it's a kids movie so I don't really care if the graphics aren't great I just care about the story) but I still enjoyed it. Loved every bit of it even though the acting could've been better and the line delivery but other that that the movie was great definitely recommend 😁

Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)

This movie was incredibly filmed the cinematography was amazing! The story was best of the best probably one of my favorite marvel movies to this day, I loved how they brought back the originals. This movie was funny, action packed, and heartbreaking. I'd definitely watch it for a fourth time if I had money. Anyway this movie was probably one of the best movies of Marvel definitely recommend watching it in theaters.
