Fabulous!!!!
I've had to have seen this film at least 10 times. What a gripping portrayal of life in Hell's Kitchen. Milla was at her very best. The film was provocative and at the same time quirky, which is my absolute favorite combination for anything.
Some parts were extremely disturbing to watch, but for some reason I could not turn away. The film was gritty, dirty, sexy, disturbing, grimy, dark, witty, and at the same time it was transforming.
I would recommend this film to anyone that wants to go on a real journey and know what it's like to live in NY city Hell's Kitchen around that time period.
Drunks (1995)
Fantastic Film
Wow. What a BRILLIANT piece of cinema.
Drunks has to be hands down one of the most important and accurate films I've seen to date about Substance abuse.
As a person with a father who died of Alcoholism, this film really helped me gain understanding.
It helped me not only cope with my father's disease but gave me tremendous understanding to what he went through as an addict.
Having attended a lot of the AAA meetings in my life, the film was spot on.
Brilliant, real, funny, and full of heart... and tears.
I would recommend adding this to your library if you haven't already.
