The Batman (2022)
7/10
I expected more from 3 hours runtime.

It was overall enjoyable and I like elements of it, especially the riddler. But I feel like it had very poor time management. I don't have a problem with the movie being 3 hours but I expect to get more from those 3 hours. It has a similiar problem to Zack Snyders justice league, filling a lot of time with longshots of faces or drawn out conversations that doesn't really add too much.

I think it's wrong to compare it to the dark knight since this is most likely the first movie in a trilogy, but if I instead compare it to Batman Begins I still think Batman Begins is a lot better, largely due to what it achieves in 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Suicide Squad (2016)
1/10
Genuinely the worst movie I have ever seen.

This movie might be the worst ever made, despite a massive budget and starpower it is absolutely complete crap. Despite having seen every Sharknado movie, which btw are made to be bad for a laugh, I still consider this to be worse. It's predictable, the acting isn't awful but the way the characters are introduced and written makes you care for no one in the movie. They tried to make some scenes better by adding a good soundtrack but you're not fooling me.

No joke, seen it over a 100 times.

Easily the best movie I have ever seen, and I have seen it a lot.

However there is not much that can be said about the film that has not already been said. Even though I have seen it more than 100 times and once saw it 4 times in one day the best thing I can leave you with is simply this:

Some extremely good movies are not only famous for there stories and acting but also their soundtracks. Inception would be a great example of this. Shawshank however is so extremely brilliant and captivating that you barely realise that the soundtrack itself is one of the best ever made. Seriously have a listen to the soundtrack on spotify and rewatch the movie. For me it elevated the movie to new heights, which should not have been possible.

Arrival (II) (2016)
10/10
One of my favourite movies of all time.

Warning: Spoilers
I re-watch this movie quite often and it floors me every time. Not only in the way that it's made and the visuals. But the sheer emotional load it packs coupled with that beautiful piece "On the Nature of Daylight" by Max Richter.

Imagine knowing that your kid is going to die quite young and still choosing to have it because all the good memories will outweigh the pain you'll feel in the future. Also I think it's brilliantly done that we get to realise that Ian couldn't handle it the same way Louise could. It really strengthens the story and Louise as a character.
