Special Chabbis (2013)
Great thriller but not without flaws
Special 26 Directed by Neeraj Pandey is a thriller drama you can't afford to miss. Its about a gang of four people conducting heist posing as CBI officers.
The thriller is greatly directed, well performed with Manoj Bajpayee doubtlessly being the best being followed by Anupam Kher. The rest of the cast also performed well.
But there are some major flaws in the movie
1. Firstly, why the unnecessary love angle
between Akshay and Kajal. I mean it would have been ok even if it was brief but it actually is carried with romance, emotions and four songs, I mean why??
2. The lack of depth provided into the heists of the officers as in how they got the information, how did they convince people about them being CBI officers, They are living a complete mediocre lifestyle after conducting about 50 raids, How did they got the paper verification done???, etc.?
3. Her, we are being made to route for the bad characters, but why by showing the actual CBI not smart. In the last segment, they didn't kept any trusted security in the warehouse. We know they were sure about the raid that would be conducted in the actual shop, but still if they are shifting gold at the warehouse, it turns out quite silly that they didn't keep any strong security at warehouse.
4. There are also wrong historical references.
Dangal (2016)
A worthy feministic sports drama
Since Chak De India, Paan Singh Tomar, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Mukkabaaz and Mary Kom, Dangal has easily joined the list of classic sports drama.
The direction by Nitesh Tiwari has everything in the right place. The songs are well put and emotional. The two girls gave a fitting performance. But in all, Aamir Khan was one of the major pull of the movie who gave his best performance of life. He truly stole the show.
My Name Is Khan (2010)
A truly great humanity drama with Shah Rukh Khan as the main pull.
My Name is Khan is a truly inspiring and emotional humanity based drama which is perfectly directed. The songs and cinematography of this film takes it to a level higher. The most important and appealing aspect of the film is Shah Rukh Khan. He gives his performance of his life of a man with Asperger's syndrome perfectly blending every emotions in his performance.
Sultan (2016)
A rightly done sports drama
Sultan is really praiseworthy execution of a journey of a wrestler. The direction by Ali Abbas Zaffar is out n out great. The performances by the cast is quiet appealing, with Anushka Sharma's perfect performance and Salman Khan's most worthy performance. The screenplay and theme feels perfect. The plot and the storyline keeps us engaged with an inspiring flow of the movie. But there elements of forced humour and forced heroism.
Tiger Zinda Hai (2017)
Overstretched Action Entertainer!!!
A fair engaging concept as well as good action packed scenes filled with some Salman Khan taste. The direction by Ali Abbas Zafar(Sultan), cinematography, some action scenes, song and performances is right in place, but the film becomes too lengthy and also detached from its plot with same Bollywood kinda theme and screen play. The execution could have been much better. The performances of Salman, Katrina, Paresh Rawal and the antagonist is praise worthy.
Do watch it as an action packed entertainer with some message to take off with.
Kick (2014)
A lame-tricky entertainer
Kick is a movie which is just for entertainment with some really emotional, tricky or hilarious scenes. Out n out its just for Salman Khan fans with some audience looking for easy fun.
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015)
Same old storyline but a fairly good family entertainer
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, which is directed by Sooraj Barjatya. What all can you accept from such movie. Same family based emotional storyline which is not at all appealing in these times.
The songs, performances and cinematography are a good pull of the movie with some over the top melodramatic scenes which thus make it an average holiday family entertainer.
