Fallout (2024– )

Great Adaptation
28 May 2024
I watched this show and thoroughly enjoyed it with no prior knowledge of the games or lore.

I recently played and finished New Vegas and Fallout 4 then followed with rewatching the show.

I had low expectations on the second watch as adaptations usually do not stay true to the lore and disappoint (Rings of Power, Halo, could name more) but I was very wrong. They incorporated numerous easter eggs and the same feel of the games. While they could have done a better job writing the villains to be in the grey area as seen in the games, they still did a fantastic job with the soundtrack, costumes, and mysteriousness.

The actress for Lucy plays her role great and is not written as a mary sue who knows everything (im talking to you Disney) and Walton Goggins gives a memorable performance as the Ghoul.

The show ends on a great cliffhanger on what is in store for season 2 and also leaves enough questions in every plot line to leave the viewer wanting more. Looking forward to whats in store!

The Gentlemen (2024)
7/10
If You Like Guy Ritchie's Previous Work, Worth Watching
3 April 2024
The Gentlemen is filled with unique, interesting characters just as any of his previous films have shown. It is entertaining enough to continue through each episode, but there are many plot holes scattered throughout. This is the best Netflix Original show in a looooooooong time.

The two main characters (Edward & Susie) have pretty good chemistry throughout the show and are a part of what makes the show interesting. Some characters are insufferable (Freddie & Jimmy).

I really enjoyed the style of storytelling Ritchie choice for this show (a wink to Snatch & others) but some episodes lack realistic plots and lack logic.

The sets used throughout the episodes are fantastic. The Manors used are beautiful, and there is a diverse set of places visited (did not see any green screens). The costume sets used are also spot on. Kudos to the costume director.

Regardless, it is a show worth watching. As mentioned before, more entertaining than much of the garbage streaming services are pumping out.

Better Call Saul (2015–2022)

Directors know how to mold a series with phenomenal characters
16 August 2022
This series just ended and it ended great. Attention to detail, character development and dialogue are among the triumphs of this show. If you have seen breaking bad, you understand how these writers can create an atmosphere like no other. Some shows are great (GOT) but end horribly, but this one does not disappoint. A must watch for anyone.

Better Call Saul: Fun and Games (2022)

Actual Review With Spoilers
19 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Wow writing and acting was fantastic all around. A bit slower after the climax of last episode, but intense scenes where everything gets set in stone before Breaking Bad. Should win plenty of Emmys if these next episodes hold up.

Gonna be sad when this show ends
12 July 2022
I really enjoyed Breaking Bad, as it is arguably the best show ever made. As for Better Call Saul, it has been entertaining since day one. Might even go far enough to say its better than BB. Although its a "slow burn", it is nonetheless extremely engaging. This season has upped the intensity compared to the slow burn episodes, and this one will have you on the edge of your seat for nearly 40 minutes. Curious to see where the next episodes will lead. Well done Vince Gilligan.

Tailored for kids
27 May 2022
First two episodes feel like they are for ages 12 and below...reva is also very annoying. I hope this show isnt an, "inquisitor redemption arc" +involving kenobi. Need it to be about vader and kenobi.

Wheres the old south park?
4 March 2022
Not a bad episode, but feel as if they only scratched the surface on what they could have satirized. So much has happened the past two years which has given them so much writing material, or so you would believe. Hopefully Parker and Stone fine their mojo once again.

Still holds up to 2022
3 February 2022
Ive watched this movie probably 10 times and each time I spot something new or find another reason as to why it is the first part to the best trilogy(or movies) ever made. The aerial footage, the makeup, the acting, the dialogue, the action, the score, the suspense! Does any movie have it like these movies do? I truly hope directors and producers in the future put as much effort as they did to these three movies, along with the new series set to premier September 2nd on Amazon Prime. Hopefully that doesn't ruin this masterpiece of a trilogy.

Different view of WWII
8 January 2022
Different POV of the war than what is usually portrayed in American films. Some flaws for sure but interesting way of telling 3 different stories during the war.

Entertaining but becoming a soap opera
14 December 2021
Ive enjoyed watching this show, but it is becoming extremely repetitive with tense melodramatic situations every other scene. Also, the writers need to figure out what to do with Monica. All she ever does is complain or give a "woe is me" speech. Her character had potential the first two seasons but now lacks depth in every category, as do many other characters. I hope the writers know when to stop beating the dead horse when it comes around(in a season).

Call of Duty: Vanguard (2021 Video Game)
1/10
Copy and paste of recent CODs with historical inaccuracies
10 December 2021
Was so excited for this game but am extremely disappointed. Mechanics are copied from cold war and MW. Campaign has numerous historical inaccuracies, theres combat shields in ww2, and reticle attachments that weren't introduced until the 1980's. Game also crashes consistently. It seems that Call of Duty let interns create their game to see how it would turn out/if consumers would still purchase the game and battle pass. 0/10 would buy, 10/10 would wait until Modern Warfare 2 comes out next year.

Disney ruined this movie as did Awkwafina
18 November 2021
This movie could have been great. It has stellar choreography and visuals, but the character development, dialogue, and casting ruined the entire movie. Every 10 minutes, there is a loud pointless raspy comment made by Awkwafina. This ruined the entire movie. Almost every joke and line was forced and cringe.
