Warning: Spoilers
This is my second favorite film from director Irvin Kershner. Number 1 favorite Irvin Kershner film will be RoboCop 2 (1990) which is very underrated action flick. I still have to review those movies someday.

Pulp Fiction (1994)

awesome

Warning: Spoilers
It's no wonder that fans spend so much time debating what was in the suitcase, reading far more into the story than Tarantino probably intended. The film is so intricately structured, with so many astonishing details, many of which you won't pick up on the first viewing, that it seems to cry out for some deeper explanation. But there is no deeper explanation. "Pulp Fiction," is, as the title indicates, purely an exercise in technique and style, albeit a brilliant and layered one. Containing numerous references to other films, it is like a great work of abstract art, or "art about art." It has all the characteristics we associate with great movies: fine writing, first-rate acting, unforgettable characters, and one of the most well-constructed narratives I've ever seen in a film. But to what end? The self-contained story does not seem to have bearing on anything but itself.

Warning: Spoilers
The CG and the VFX are amazing. The fact that you can watch this movie on YouTube in HD makes you wanna buy this movie. It's not a complete movie but just an episode so you might not like that you didn't get to see the end.

Warning: Spoilers
I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of this movie...the story was right on and very, very good visual effects and musical score...my only complaint is it's too short. It leaves you on a cliffhanger at the end. LOTR fans will truly love this short movie.

Star Trek Continues (2013–2017)

Nice take on what Star Trek supposed to be.

Warning: Spoilers
Have been watching bits of it on YouTube, haven't done a full episode yet. Technically it's brilliant, rivaling even the set recreation in the DS9 "Trials and Tribbleations" episode. Lights, sets music, everything is spot on. From an acting standpoint, this show would make a great object lesson in how different actors approach the same character. Michelle Specht comes off best, partly because there are no preconceived notions of her character. Not only does she nail the 60's style actress glamour, she also gets the style of acting while giving honest depth to the role. The other actors do well but none of them quite reach the levels of charisma the original series actors had. Vic has Shatner's physicality down pat, but lacks Shatner's swagger and unpredictable energy. There's a little sense of the show kind of trapping the new actors. Since it's such a faithful recreation of TOS, the expectation to duplicate original performance hamstring the actors. Say what you will about the Kelvin timeline movies,( and I know many of you hate them but I don't,and I'm a first generation Trekkie having seen Spock's Brain" on NBC primetime at 9 years old, and getting hooked for life) I also worked on ST The experience In The 90's and was the director of the original walk around cast) the actors of that iteration were allowed a little creative wiggle room to interpret their characters. But all this is quibbling, the Continues episodes are great fun and do fill in story gaps that fans have imagined for many years. May everyone who put the work into creating it Live Long and Prosper!

Warning: Spoilers
The short fan film was funded via Indiegogo and was brought to you by producer and actor Jamie Costa, best known for his viral video of himself doing Robin Williams impressions. He's no stranger to Star Wars fan films since previously he portrayed the lead in "Han Solo: A Smuggler's Trade," a short film following the fan-favorite scoundrel on a new adventure. It has gained over 2.4 million views on YouTube.

Costa is joined by Tommy Snider as Owen Lars, Maxine Phoenix as Beru Lars, and Audie Rick as Luke Skywalker. Fans of Star Wars: The Clone Wars may notice actor James Arnold Taylor, who voiced Obi-Wan Kenobi in the animated series. In the Kenobi fan film, he plays a villain named Captain Leegus.

Kenobi also features a sweeping score by Andrew Gerlicher with The Budapest Scoring Orchestra performing the music.

The fan film is a nice treat for those who love Obi-Wan Kenobi. Lucasfilm is also planning a live-action Obi-Wan series starring Ewan McGregor on Disney+. The announcement was made during D23 Expo 2019 with Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy introducing McGregor on the Hall D23 stage. Not much is known about the series, but viewers can expect some sort of adventure on Tatooine, the home planet of Anakin Skywalker.

Great effort!

Until 2021, Saw: Heritage has to be the only professional fan film inspired by the popular American horror franchise created by Wan and Whannell. Besides that, Saw: Heritage is one of the few fan-made movies that got noticed and approved by an actual member of the big Hollywood production it is based on. I am referring to Josh Stolberg, the writer of the original Jigsaw and Spiral films, who appears to have watched the film, and somehow he liked its composition.

Saw: Heritage is good only if you watch it as inspired by the original film. Arfanis' fan film is not a continuity or connected of the original Saw movies, nor it should be considered by anyone as an on canon movie. The project is great as far we see it on the wider image: Arfanis made his own Saw that has nothing to do with the films made by Lions Gate and Twister Pictures, yet he managed to take some elements from the original movies and combine them with his own unique vision. Saw: Heritage could work best as a part of an anthology compilation like Animatrix or Batman: Gotham Knight. Arfanis is a great and visionary director. His take on Saw certainly feels fresh and new and could contribute as a homage to Saw. His love for the franchise can be seen, but his love for the movies can be seen more. Arfanis talent to craft a movie is also there. Although Saw: Heritage is his first-ever movie, -and unfortunately a fan film and not original work- his pure talent and understanding of how filmmaking and narrative storytelling should work is visible on every frame.

So in conclusion, is Saw: Heritage worth your time? The real question is, can you watch it without comparing it with the films that are on canon? Then the answer is yes. Saw: Heritage managed to grow its legacy and leave its mark on the fan films universe. Saw: Heritage could be what Batman Dead End is for the DC Comics fan films universe. A brave take, a fresh look, a unique vision of what Saw is about, from someone who certainly understands what Saw is, but also has the talent and his original ideas as companion.
