I'm struggling to wanting to keep watching this as I'm slowly going through episode 5.

Started well, but unsure where this is all leading up to now. I suppose the acting is well executed, the plot itself is interesting but the story drags on about the stuff we're not interested. Many why's but not many answers.

They removed 3 important characters in the first few episode and you're left with a female engineer who runs the police force investigating the silo's mystery by putting her detective hat on. Not to mention she was gifted with supernatural strength who prevented her from dying several times, albeit she looks to be barely weigh 130 lbs.

The Exorcist (2016–2018)

Watching this in 2023, feels great

A really good show with a normal (finally) cast that acts very well. Fresh air into this well needed low rated Neftlix world.

A lot of side story was added but not needed, if you're Christian, you'll notice the plot has multiple flaws, unlikely a Catholic priest will ever say "demons are made up or metaphors" The Church is somewhat portrayed as resistant and greedy (again) which are untrue and not needed. The story should have focused more in streamlining the actual plot around the 2 priests and 2 sisters which it does to some extent and also appreciate the rest was added to build the characters.

Overall it is a good TV show I enjoyed watching.

The Tomorrow War (2021)

Not as bad as I thought!

I didn't mind it overall. Yes it is cliche after half way through but it didn't prevent us from stop watching. The movie starts off well, there are decent action scenes, relationship between father and daughter felt sincere and it's good the movie went after to what would have been the end of our future.

I'm not surprised most critics would rate it low, but I think it's a decent watch if you're trying to kill off a quiet night and if you like army/science blended with aliens and end of humanity type of genre, then you shouldn't feel too bored. I liked the main actor, thought he played well. 7/10.

A Quiet Place Part II (2020)

Good sequel but comes with flaws

Quite predictable and unsure how the monster got to the island being on the same boat as the guy and deaf girl.... everybody seems to walk barefoot but if you're trying to prevent sound just use layered socks. Also one bottle of oxygen for a baby, probably need 1,000+ given his age. Not sure if two are worth the trip to town.

Also pretty sure that people can survive longer than a couple of minutes in a sealed environment. I think oxygen can last up to an hour or so.

The ending is rather "coincidental" bro and sis killing monsters at the same time...

First part was better, second part is okay. Would be good if the producers focus on a worldwide view rather than just silo tiny portion of America.

The Chosen (2017– )

Absolutely sensational, moving, powerful and accurate

The fabulous story of Jesus Christ according to the Gospel. It is a Christian TV show that is accurate and representative of Jesus Christ's life. What makes this TV show different; it focus on the journey of Jesus rather than the crucification with all the gruesome bureaucratic components perpetrated by the Romans and Pharisees.

It is a show that reminds us on how we should follow the Word, live in accordance to the scriptures and honour Him.

I thoroughly enjoyed this TV show, donated for others to watch freely and I hope this will inspire many to come forward and find peace.

Just because God is invisible doesn't mean He is not here for us. Amen.

Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities (2022)

It's great!

Maybe because I wasn't expecting this to be a horror show like 80% of the reviewers here.

Everyone should relax and stop pretending they are movie producers.

It's good! Episode 4 is a huge satire. Overall it has flaws but didn't prevent me to enjoy the whole series. Some things could have been changed, I got the occasional "yeh OK" but it's got good moments, great acting, good cinematography and sound.

If you liked Black Mirror give it a try. It's not as psychological but it helps to enjoy a nice evening with friends. Good fun and laughs. Can't complain! I think people should be more grateful.

Indian Matchmaking (2020– )

Incredibly shallow, lack of social skills in some. Extraordinarily full of themselves - no wonder they are still single.

Who would want to date anyone like them.

I feel grateful to no longer be single!! They should reflect and understand they are in the wrong not others!!!

Midnight Mass (2021)

Great start. Great plot. Great acting but average ending

Apart from the super multicultural cast (doubt you'd find a Muslim sheriff in the most remote place in the USA) and taking a stab at Christianity (once again less likely to offend people), it is a well developed story, with enough depth that kept me on the hook for 6 episodes. It is not your traditional "gullible storyline" where characters are acting they believe in everything but rather the story is built around religion which makes it a strong argument for the viewers to believe the act.

The highlight to me is probably the acting and the surrounding. But the ending was disappointing and would have preferred if they represented a pagan society rather than Christianity. If you want to make things all equal then maintain it that way.

T's embarassing to watch this. What have we become? What is this ludacris society we live in? I like and respect Matt Walk for standing up there. He speaks the sound truth. It is deplorable to even consider unisex bathrooms. The left wing cannot even articulate what gender is because they can't understand what they are trying to say... it's been Male and Female since the birth of humanity. The argument that won the conservative to me was; it is a narrowminded mentality imposed on others. If I disagree and reject gender pronouns so should they accept my position. Breaking this so called "social construct" is to please a very finite amount of people that are "hurt" and "sensitive" with what the world has to offer: REALITY.

Huge eye opener. This is a great documentary that clearly shows how things have gone out of control. I like what one of the tech guy said "we thought adding a like button would make people feel better and generate positivity, instead we created a generation of young kids addicted to social media where if they don't get enough likes, they turn depressed"

Great Sunday night movie

I think the reviews are a bit harsh. Not like we come across a great movie daily these days on either Netflix or Stan.

I enjoyed the plot, storyline. I was hoping for a good ending but nope. The ending was the let down for me but really enjoyed the movie otherwise. There was also no continuation, massive cliffhanger.

Acting was great, scenes are amazing

Would like to acknowledge this is an Australian movie and it's great to see great quality put in.

Single's Inferno (2021– )

Great if you're sick of garbage Western TV reality show

"Love" or "relationships" should be built gradually and not set within an environment where everybody wants to sleep with each other on Day 1 aka Love Island or Too Hot To Handle.

Western culture (my culture) could learn a thing or two seriously from Korea. How did we become so low with dating in our society?

I find the show refreshing and not sexual (finally).

Don't Look Up (2021)

A satire worth watching highlighting the superficial and hypocrite world we live in

A brilliant satire highlighting corporate greed, media ethics and celebrity culture. Very good reminder on how society is turning, I think we've lost the plot and I personally enjoyed how the movie shows social media to be the predominantly force in our day on day life.

Watch until the end, "don't forget to like and subscribe".

Dark Tourist (2018)

David Farrier made me stop watching this

Gosh. What an idiot. The questions this guy asks and how he reacts in certain situation is absolutely irritating me. I actually find him very condescending at times and he's definitely a little boy that is scared!

First episode, clearly he doesn't grasp nor try to understand the environment Popeye grew up in. To only criticise and make him feel remorseful. In Mexico, the guy completely ignored the concept of the game and thought it would be funny to give up the commander.

In the second episode, he tries to go rogue in his own way and managed to get the tour guide in trouble.

I stopped watching after that.

Luxe Listings Sydney (2021– )

Great show if you want to feel bad about your life

I didn't mind the one million dollar New York TV show where the focus was more on negotiating. Sydney Luxe Listings kindly reminds the middle class that buying any of those properties will never be achievable in this lifetime and does a great job at making you think and question why do we have to wake up every morning and work hard. The cast is flamboyant, show-off, immature and obviously very much into 3rd world problems.

Sorry I don't have parents forking $3 million a month in my bank account. At least D'Leanne shows more humility and maturity compared to those early 30s egocentric guys. God I can imagine how much fakeness and vanity float around in their own private lives..

Black Summer (2019–2021)

Brilliant what else can you ask for?

I get why some people complain about its simple story line or plot. Truth is, Black Summer shows how truly a zombie apocalypse would be. It's authentic. Genuine. Straight to the point. It shows how humans would behave. So you know what? Screw the story line. If you enjoy romance please watch Disney.

Mortal Kombat (2021)

Not bad. Not great. Worth watching

I literally walked in with zero expectation as another "MK" kid who grew up playing the franchise video games throughout the 90s.

The movie overall was better than expected. There were couple of average scenes but also some good ones! Scorpion vs Sub-zero (2 fights were good!). Kano was needed. I think without him, the movie would have gone flat.

I thought all characters had a their own charm. Except the main one. Rather dull and unsure why he was needed/there for.

Overall it's a good attempt and giving it an 8 for their effort. Good movie to watch with mates.

Love, Death & Robots (2019– )

Season 2 huge let down but Season 3 great again!

Changed my review and now 10/10 after watching Season 3. Season 1 was amazing, season 2 was crap but season 3 hits the spot again!

Glad Netflix picked it up again as they are sitting on a gold mine. It is a very good production too bad season 2 now sits in the middle as the dark sheep.

R.I.P.D. (2013)

A failed attempt to mimic Men in Black

Saw this on Netflix and stopped half way through 40min-ish. I thought - given the cast - this would be a decent movie and although there are some okay scenes, I find the movie to be very predictable, cliche, generic and the story doesn't make sense either (I.e. Very boring).

It is really difficult to not compare RIPD to MIB given multitude similarities - two partners, one experienced one rookie. Earth environment with "aliens", RIPD being a secret agency and a pretty cool gun.

Incredible and Sensational

This is exactly what F1 needed. Thanks to Netflix I am a returning fan after having stopped watching F1 mid 2000s'

What I like the most about this TV show is that you actually get to know the drivers, principals, how they feel and how much pressure they go through.

It is an incredible competitive doco/drama and very glad they managed to get Mercedes and most teams onboard. You'll see Hamilton quite a fair bit as well as RedBull.

Thanks F1 for agreeing to be filmed for Netflix!!!

War of the Worlds (2019– )

Not bad worth watching it but...

Despite what many people have written here, I actually thought the acting and characters were pretty good. Several characters have their own line of story which I like. The only thing that bothered me is how the aliens looked like. You'd think they would look more advanced rather than small lego old primitive mechanical things.

Tribes of Europa (2021)

I'm up to episode 3 and I'm enjoying it. The acting is not bad at all - not sure why other reviews say so. I just switched to original German and English sub. I don't mind the occasional German to English switch, I actually like it. The storyline so far is good. I thought this would be another cliche boring TV shows but the story got me in. I hope the remaining episodes will be good but so far I'd say it's worth watching if you are into post apocalyptic genre
