Xena: Warrior Princess: The Rheingold (2000)
Apparently the writers gave up by this time
Powering through this season. The ending of season five was one huge train wreck and some of the worst writing / plot lines I have witnessed in any TV show. I don't think this is a spoiler, you can see it in the EP thumbs. But, apparently now she was a valkyrie too? Would of loved to be part of that meeting when they offered up that absolute stinker. I also would of loved to know who agreed to it! Guess there is a good reason this show ended after this season. I am cringing knowing that the next couple EP's are going to be so poorly written and the plot holes will be as big as the Grand Canyon. Kind of wish I never watched season 6, it really kind of sucked.
Guran Buru (2018)
obnoxious, poorly written. Should not waste your time.
It seems like every scene someone is yelling or screaming or there's a crazy face drawn on a character. It is beyond obnoxious, and gets old quick. When I watch good animes, them yelling or having weird faces means something big is going on. And this one it's 30 times an episode, so it doesn't mean anything and it's wearing thin.
I guess this appeals to some people but if you're looking for a decent anime that has some fun and storyline to it this is not it. Not to mention the weird drinking issues, the guys that always get naked... That are probably gay. I don't care if they are but it's just really weird that this is the direction this show is taking.
I can't believe anyone gave this more than say a four, no more than a five. I'm heading into episode 6 and debating whether I just going to crap can this one, and go to another one that's probably better. Wouldn't be hard to find one. Sorry to be so harsh but this just is not a good show.

It's not for everyone; good characters & great moments
Not a fanboy of these types of things. A friend of mine turned me on to Ninja Scrolls and I really loved that movie. I watched the TV series for that, and it wasn't near as good, but good enough. I accidentally left the credits roll to far and this TV series started playing on Amazon's auto-play feature.
Decided to give it a go.
Honestly fell in love with it. This coming from someone who loves Supernatural and Star Trek...
Characters were well fleshed out, the plot could be seen as slow, but it was exploring each characters desires and relationships. Some scenes honestly hit home for me, and I watched them over a few times.
The ending seems to be the issue and for me, it was perfect. I can't really get into it, that would require a semi-spoiler but I was very happy with the ending.
Hard to define things and how to end this review. It is not something I ever wanted to watch but halfway through the binge of the series, it went from a want to a need to watch the rest of this.
In another month or so I plan on watching it again. So worth it for me.
The Shannara Chronicles (2016)
If you separate book and show, this series is great.
For all you book lovers, I get it, it is a weird mix and combination of the three books. I watched season one before reading the books, maybe that gave me a better perspective. Loved the books, loved the TV series... want to know why?
YOU HAVE TO SEPARATE THEM. TREAT THEM AS TWO INDIVIDUAL STORY LINES.
If you don't want to, then honestly, go away. This is not for you. If you are willing to understand this concept, you will enjoy the series a lot. There were a few stinkers, but over-all the FX, the settings, the filming the acting is all very well done. Worth watching, hell worth watching twice.
