The Gray Man (2022)
Putting 80s body count movies to shame.
OK this is almost the same story as the classic 80s action flick "Commando," except without the Arnie one liners, and way too many choreographed cookie cutter fight scenes, they get boring after the second or third time. Apart from one or two scenes the whole thing is filmed in the dark. Also I believed Arnie as the buff ex-hit man for the Government. Ryan Gosling? Sorry guy, time to hit the gym.
Hot Seat (2022)
Hacking Movie? In 2022? Why?
Remember Kevin Dillon? Remember he played the brother who couldn't act on Entourage, he's reprising that character, except sweating, and in a chair, on a computer, for an hour and twenty minutes.
How many times have they tried to make "hacking" (someone typing on a keyboard) look exciting, and failed. Well they've done it again.
Almost funny in its absolute badness, but not quite bad enough to be actually funny.
Lame story, Bad direction, bad camerawork, terrible acting.
Top Gunner: Danger Zone (2022)
Its an Asylum movie. What do you expect?
If you saw this "Top Gunner: Danger Zone," and thought for one second that it was "Top Gun: Maverick," then you are pretty gullible and will actually really enjoy the blatant military recruitment film "Top Gun: Maverick."
As for me I preferred this to "Top Gun: Maverick."
Incredibly low budget, terrible dialogue, wooden acting, stock aircraft footage that alternates aircraft types without a care for continuity. There were only 4 or 5 sets, 7 actors and 10-12 extras. Roll a spliff, get the popcorn, sit back and laugh, without leaving the comfort of the couch.
Gracepoint (2014)
Billie Piper
I think they should have cast Billie Piper in the role of Ellie, no offence to Anna Gunn, who was absolutely iconic as Skyler White, but perhaps a second really bad American accent might have distracted from David's absolutely atrocious non specific regional accent.
Billie would also have seen the best Dr who team reunited. Also Billie Piper, hello???
Also American TV doesn't do the dark depressing British murder thing anywhere near as well as the Brits.
Also if you say "space ghettos" in a flat American accent you have just perfectly pronounced "spice girls" in Glaswegian. This was bench tested in the pub last night to great merriment.
