KSI: In Real Life (2023)
Overproduced mess
Who is this documentary for? I am sure that the majority of the people who watch this are fans who love KSI and everyone around him, I myself have watched him since before the Sidemen. But the documentary really doesn't explain nor teach many unknown parts of JJs life. We learn that his motivation is money and spite, how charming. This philosophy on life is flawed. But if you would watch this and don't have any idea who KSI is you would klick off directly.
I'm sure if someone loves the guy this documentary could be fine. However as a documentary it lacks a narrative, focus and structure. It jumps all around just to fill out the runtime but still doesn't manage to show us anything worthwhile. How many times are we going to see documentary about how though it is to be famous and rich?
He called himself an alpha which made me cringe to my core.
La montaña sagrada (1973)
Never been more relevant
This movie is the perfect movie. You can stare at every single frame and slowly come up with new interpretations of the scene. Watching this movie is like a drug trip. Gets your attention right away and never lets go of that grip. I have watched it 4 times now and still everytime I watch it I find something new.
The movies I love are movies that get better the more I think about it. This is certainly one of those ones.
The movie brings up problems with consumerism as well as kapitalism. It also brings up problems with colonialism at the beginning of the movie.
This is Alejandro Jodorowsky's best work to this date. And that should say something in itself. Just stare at the screen and let it consume you.
Intouchables (2011)
An Absolute Gem
I was a bit reluctant going in to this move, but oh my am I happy I watched it. I had only seen one movie previously from this director, Just Friends, and I didn't really think very much of it. But this one is very special. I can see how people think this movie is some sort of oscar-bait. But I think thats okay as long as the movie is good, not that an oscar matters anyway, smh.
I believe the poster of this movie does it a disservice. It sort of threw me of a bit. But if you are thinking of watching this, please do it. Its jut simply amazing. Thats why I don't want to spoil it here. So watch it when you get the chance. Get ready to laugh hysterically aswell as cry a bit, cause i did both.
Ratatouille (2007)
Pixars Magnum Opus
When I watched this movie for the first time I was very young. I remember really liking it, but that was mostly because it was a pixar movie with animals as characters. But when I later rewatched this movie I got a hole new understanding of what this masterpiece was trying to teach us.
This movie, unlike many of today's animated movies, has a purpose for the lead character being a animal. Its just to teach us how everyone is able to become a artist or in this case a chef.
This is unlike anything I have ever seen in a animated movie, perhaps unlike "Anomalisa" although that's a whole different story. Ratatouille is a very important movie that I absolutely adore. That is the reason as to why it is Pixars magnum opus. It has its great message and it delivers flawless with this product.
A must watch!
