Breakaway (2011)

What a waste of my time

I had high expectations from this movie and unfortunately watched it assuming Lily Singh was in the movie, but she was in Cab Driver. A good message about discrimination but very poorly executed. The slow delivery of dialogs made the actors look uncomfortable on screen. I had enough in 25 minutes and had to skip-watch the rest of it to find Lily Singh's scenes. I was clearly fooled when I didn't see her at all. Russell Peter's was probably the best one in this movie in my opinion. The main character looked too weak and looked more like a sidekick. I do not recommend this torture of a movie. Watch at your own risk.

The Boys (2019– )

Mindblowing!!!

I couldn't help but picture all these actors that we so dearly love in real life. Knowing nothing about behind of scenes of these 'idols', we love them blindly and defend them with all we've got. The creators did a good job by showing us how corporates can and do control these stars and their public image.

This series has been absolutely eye opening and brilliantly captured. The storyline deserves 10 stars. It keeps you on edge.

Love and Monsters (2020)

Great concept but TOO predictable

The concept deserves a 10/10 rating. It reminded me of Rampage which was also a good movie.

However, I was disappointed with the story. It was just too predictable and the main lead got away with anything and everything. I would've love to see more twists and turns and also more unpredictable scenes. In addition, the main character seemed too weak to be the main character. The little girl had more of a stronger presence in the movie than the main character. Disappointed with the execution of this movie.

It's a good movie for kids but adults will find this movie extremely predictable.

Seaspiracy (2021)

MUST WATCH

It is very disturbing to see all the fish being affected by commercial fishing. I'm very happy that I never liked seafood or promoted it. Unintentionally, I did my part but I hope you do too. Please stop this consumption. Stop those greedy corporates from destroying our way of life. They have millions to still survive. It's the middle class and working class that will suffer the consequences. Let's work together and stop killing our beautiful planet. It's time for us to open our eyes to the reality and do something about it. Let's stand together against this commercial fishing.

Superstore (2015–2021)

Loveeeeee the show

This show is actually funny. Not like one of those shows that get boring or unbearable after the 1st season. Thanks to Netflix, I started watching this show from season one and love the characters so much. Definitely respect employees of each store more after watching this show. Love it! 100% recommend

Bandish Bandits (2020– )

Music is amazing

I'm not giving this series 10/10 because the main actress did a lot of overacting which was unbearable for me. The guy did a great job and so did the grandfather. Everyone did justice to their roles except for the main actress. The music is fantastic and showed me a different side of classical music. I always thought that the classical music is boring and depressing, but this series changed my mind about it. The team did a great job on this series.

Obviously, it's ......no surprise that Varun can't act. He's less than mediocre. I never understood why people even called him an actor let alone a superstar. We knew he's no where close to Govinda who did some fantastic movies in the past. Let's discuss Sara now, her acting is almost mediocre. Yes, I said it. Other than a cute face and fit body, she has nothing new to give in her movies. No real or raw talent like Nawaz or Pankaj. Varun, just quit wasting your father's money now and find another field of work; you can't act, buddy. Sara, either take acting classes or retire from movies; stop wasting producers money.

Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives (2020– )

Some b*tches who are wannabe Kardashians

These women are so cringy with their fake accents and fake 'fabulous' lives. I wouldn't trade my life with these gossiping-wannabe-Kardashians aunties. They swear uncontrollably in front of their 14 year old son and then call their 20 year old daughter a 'child'. Someone should educate them on how to treat a 14 year old teenager and a 20 year old ADULT. Also, in the final episode, make sure to look at their eyes. All of their eyes are RED which is caused by cocaine, marijuana, or heavy alcohol drinking. No one knows these women, and no one cares about them enough to sit through this poophole of a series by Mr. Karan Johar. He should've just made this show for himself and for his dumb kids. Not for us. I go on and PAY Netflix to watch quality series and shows. If I wanted to watch a bunch of baboons, I'd watch Karan's movies not PAY Netflix for serving me poop on a plate with cherry on top. Avoid at all costs. These b*tches aren't worth the cringe fest. Also, they can never ever ever be even 1% of Kardashians, so maybe try being yourselves for a change, ladies? Or will your sugar daddies dump you if you start being yourselves? Jesus, help humanity from this cancer!

Panchayat (2020– )

Very beautifully done

I didn't have very high hopes from this series, but I'm happy to have been proven wrong. It was nicely done and interesting enough for me to binge watch the whole series in a day. I do miss watching the episodes now though. The storyline was wonderful and all the actors did justice to their respective roles. Definitely recommend you to watch the first episode at least (you'll be hooked for sure).

Concept good, but bad execution

I agree with most reviews that the series is not that interesting to watch. The trailer also didn't do any favors as the storyline is a little different than shown in the trailer. The message was good, and I do urge you to watch the last 3 episodes as there isn't much to watch or understand from episode 2 till 5. However, the execution of the storyline is pretty bad and the ending seems to spark a discussion as it's an open ending and subject to one's conclusion. Overall, it's fine but not the best I've watched.

Serious Men (2020)

Slow and Depressing

The concept is good, but they didn't do justice to the storyline. This isn't the type of movie that keeps you glued to the screen and entertained throughout. If you watch the first 30 minutes and the last 30 minutes, you'll understand the whole movie. The remaining is just depressing to watch and painfully slow. No doubt that the actors did their roles well, but the storyline is not captivating. They could've executed it better.

The Queen's Gambit (2020– )

Makes you fall in love with chess

The series is so well directed. The storyline was very intriguing yet smooth to watch. It's such a delight to watch something with a new concept. This show empowers women while making you fall in love with chess gradually. Definitely a binge worthy show.

It's a shame that the majority of people didn't watch this gem in theatres. It has no item songs (Yay!). No bullshit love story (Yay!). No Bollywood biggies that can't act (Yay!). Purely based on its well-directed storyline, this is a must-watch movie. I would say it's more thriller than horror, but that's the beauty of this movie.

The movie is hilarious and there are so many surprised hilarious scenes if you watch with focus. Definitely recommend this movie, and make sure the kids aren't around.

Stupid show with wannabe "celebrities"

I stopped watching this garbage years ago because of the criminal host, Salman Khan (why give a criminal so much respect?). However, whenever I heard about this show or accidentally watched any clips anywhere, all I heard were unnecessary screams and pointless arguments which shows how desperate these contestants are for fame. This show has nothing good to teach and is a waste of time. I'd rather be watching something better than this any day. Save your IQ and brain cells and don't waste your time on wannabes.

1BR (2019)

Initially slow but once it picks up, you can't stop watching

The movie was slow for me in the beginning and I was considering to stop watching. However, the movie picked up when she moved to that apartment and things got pretty twisted (interesting) from there. Give it a try. The ending was messed up too.

Bala (2019)

I watched this movie and thought it was good... until I watched Ujda Chaman. This movie had unrealistic characters and a lot of overacting by most actors. Ujda Chaman was better in acting, concept, and storyline that was very smooth. I would recommend that movie over this one. Unless you're fine with overacting than watch this.

Such a beautiful movie with no overacting, unlike Bala. The characters are very relatable and the acting was so natural. I would recommend this over Bala. Watch this first and then you'll realize what a waste of time Bala is compared to this one.

All 3 seasons are phenomenal and very well executed. The storyline is so complex yet extremely interesting to watch. Thank God for Netflix that I could watch this show from Germany. What an amazing amazing show. I'd highly recommend this show to anyone who is interested in learning more about new concepts and unique storylines. 10 stars!!!!!!!!

Initially, the movie was slow and there was nothing much going on. Once it took off after 15 minutes, the movie became more and more gruesome but interesting. Definitely a one-watch. Not for the weak hearts.
