Sarpatta Parambarai (2021)
One of India's Best Sports Dramas
Sarpatta Parambarai will go down in history as a cult-classic.
Easily of the best sports dramas I've seen in a while.
Responsibly addressed the issue of casteism which is very prevalent in indian sports.
It very unfortunate that this movie was overlooked at the national film awards and pathetic propoganda movies like kashmir files were promoted instead.
Loved the screenplay and dialogues, and the acting and the directing need to be commended as well.
By all means, it was a top-class movie and the only downside was that, like all movies of the inspirational sports drama genre, Sarpatta Parambarai could also be considered as somewhat predictable.
Silence (2016)
Very unsettling yet beautiful movie
A very unsettling and thought-provoking movie about the persecution of Japan's Christian minority in the 17th century.
Was very atmospheric and brilliantly directed by Scorsese.
The Sopranos (1999)
Most Iconic TV series ever made
Engaging storytelling, dark realistic plot, one of the first proper anti-hero protagonists.
The Sopranos really changed how we viewed Television forever and for these reasons it's the most iconic series ever made.
Ghoul (2018)
Sends a strong message, brilliantly made
Brilliantly made horror mini-series by Patrick Graham based in a dystopian totalitarian India.
Even though hyper-sensitive Indian right wingers have given it a 1 star rating, there's no denying that it's still quite entertaining and has much truth to it.
Thaniyavartanam (1987)
Finest Indian movie ever made
'Thaniyavarthanam' is an absolute masterpiece. Extremely convincing acting from both Mammooty and Thilakan, brilliant directing by Sibi Malayil and most importantly addresses problems in Indian society in a very realistic manner. Easily the finest Indian movie ever made and I doubt there will ever be another movie made on this level.
