20 Million Miles to Earth (1957)
Excellent Film
In 1957 this was state of the art technology. The film is about a returning probe from the planet Venus although, only the commander survived. Landing near a small fishing village near Italy a small boy recovers a capsule front the sinking probe.
The capsule contained an embryo of a Venusians inhabitant which resembled a lizard sort of creature, the creature was by default adopted by a circus show. In travel it was provoked and escaped. After many reports pf a creature the commander caught up with the creature and captured it. The creature's main staple was super and it was captured at a local sculpture pit. The creature was sedated with electrical current. However, the creature continued to grow during this state of electrical hibernation.
When the power was disrupted the creature was abruptly awakened, went on a rampage. As always the military was called in and prevailed.
You will feel sorry for the creature as it didn't have a chance or choice.
Car Wash (1976)
If you buy this one you will get soaked too.
This is just an awful movie. Really, there is no substance and if there is a plot it is well hidden. It is rated as a comedy but I failed to find any funny parts. If your kids bring home bad marks on their report cards, they should be made to watch this film as punishment.

xXx (2002)
Good Action Packed Film
The film has a good plot and is tangled with mystery. There are a couple of scenes that are a little far fetched but the graphics made up for any deficit, wait until you read the stunt line up and you will understand. I gave it an 8 based on the stunts and graphics, it held my interest and was entertaining. If you are an action person I would recommend owning the DVD or the VHS tape.
The Curse of Frankenstein (1957)
Great Horror Film
Based upon todays technology for special effects this 1957 film did a supurb job. The creature had the best makeup of any Frankenstein creature yet. The movie has good scripting and follows the Frankenstein plot for the most part.
This film can leave an impact on young minds due to the makeup of the creature and really shouldn't be viewed if under 13 years of age.
If you are a Frankenstein buff, you might want to see this one.
Ghosts of Mars (2001)
Slow starting and downhill from there.
The film takes place in a dark mining camp where the ghost has taken over the workers. They resemble ghouls dressed up like something from a left over KISS Band. Really, there wasn't much acting but I must give the special effects some credit. Without the special effects it would have been as exciting as a tax audit. Save your money on this one and watch it if it comes on network TV, that way you can turn it off if it doesn't hold your interest.
On the Threshold of Space (1956)
This is a MUST if you have followed the space program from the begining.
I saw this film in 1959 and again in the 1970's and it reminded me how much research and testing went into the space program before John Glenn made his historic entry into space. This film is a must for younger people to see what went on before they were born and how the space program began. Stand back and look at it today and see just how far we have come in just 42 years.
