The Twilight Zone: The Whole Truth (1961)
Jack Carson-One Man Show
When TV was King...superior writing by the best TV writer that ever lived, Rod Serling.
If you analyze the episode which I typically do and I've seen every single Twilight Zone episode. The acting is superior, Jack Carson rattles off multiple lines of dialogue effortlessly without the cheesy close-ups of today's superficial actors. The story itself is unique and the ending, classic Serling, biting irony. Topical, relevant, important from a man, who by all accounts was a Liberal but discussed God, religion, anti-semitism, racism...He just understood people period. What's the moral of the story? Don't trust used car salesman.
M*A*S*H: Adam's Ribs (1974)
One of the best most forgotten MASH episodes...
Funny scene when Hawkeye loses it after hearing fish & liver are being served in the mess tent, starting his quest for Adam's Ribs.
The build up to Hawkeye finally getting his ribs and for them being prepared in the Mess tent is classic. I'm wondering if perhaps he should have taken one bite and then the choppers arrive with the wounded. What do you think? Anyhow
BTW, in the trivia section 24 people voted thumbs down to the Biblical reference of Adam's Ribs yes Hawkeye mentions the word "God" twice in the episode and it was written by a Jewish man, lol. Come on...What are you people afraid of?
