Authentic, astounding, amusing, astonishing, amazing, awesome.....

Warning: Spoilers
Movies we view come and go, releasing from our minds; however, this particular movie left behind a mark in my heart. It is definitely one of the best movies I have ever viewed in my life. I find it pretty ridiculous when such a movie is compared to LRMB.

What i favored most about this extravagant movie was that there was an attempt to conveying a message, and the message is revealed very thoroughly. Human beings tend to complain about negative occurrences, ministers, corruption, unemployment, etc...Yet, rarely any one steps up to change what's wrong, and eventually nothing progresses. This movie encourages you to make a difference in society, and change what is erroneous.

EVerything about this movie is just absolutely unique - the screenplay, the colors, the performances, the songs...EVERYTHING. All actors played their roles top-notch. Every actor had an impact in the movie, and should've received equal credit from my perspective. Amir, Sharman, Siddharth, Kunal, Atul, Soha, Waheeda, every one stepped up to the plate. Some actors were over looked, such as Alice Patten and Sharman Joshi. Alice had dedication towards her work - her Hindi was very well fluent, and so were her expressions. Sharman did a great job acting innocently comic. Soha's reaction after Ajay's death was natural - she fitted into the very skin of her character. Siddharth is a fantastic actor, and hopefully will make it big in Bollywood one day, he handled his character to the maximum level. Amir, as usual, did not disappoint. He was awesome, and very authentic.

The movie was modern - so today, and it was something that we can easily relate to.

Honestly, when I first purchased the movie last year, I thought it was an over-rated movie just because of Amir Khan's comeback; nonetheless, after watching it, I was proved wrong. It was just "wow", beyond words. I couldn't manage not to cry at the end. THe quotes in the movie were just lovely, and has the possession of very deep meanings.

Overall, this movie deserves a 10, without any questioning. It is a message to the youth of the present era. Get out there - change the negative aspects of the world. This movie DOES NOT ONLY GO FOR INDIANS, however all other countries in south Asia, which contains issues such as corruption, over population, and so forth. I am a Bengali, and the movie impressed me as much as any Indian - because the situations in Bangladesh is alike. Ministers are stealing the country's money, and they are not caring about the people, or doing anything to improve the country. People suffer each day - due to their very actions. It taught me that we should do something about my country's political groups, and Prime Ministers. WHOEVER DID NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE, YOU ARE NOT AWARE OF WHAT YOU ARE MISSING - go watch it! =D.

A great movie based on worldwide issues.....that does need improvement

Warning: Spoilers
This movie in my opinion, was great. KUNAL KHEMU makes an awesome adult debut and does it very well. His looks, acting, and hair just stole my heart. Yes, there were a few flaws in the movie that did not make sense; but the movie was good nevertheless.

To begin with, KUNAL DARR (kunal khemu) is an ordinary guy who lives with his father. One day, he hears a shocking news that his father had expired in a train accident. He later starts working in a gym. One day, he receives a phone call. The caller, mistakingly thought that he was his father and told KUNAL that he had to pick up Renuka (SMILEY SURI). KUNAL tries to explain but it doesn't work.

Nonetheless, he goes to the train station to pick RENUKA up and eventually brings her home. In one week's time, the two fall in love and get married. In the day of their marriage, KUNAL's friend gives him an invitation to spend their honeymoon in a hotel.

Hence, the couple spends the night in the hotel, and unfortunately……their romance is caught in tape and made into a blue-film by hidden cameras. KUNAL and RENUKA are later arrested and charged for making blue-films. Unable to bear the embarrassment and confusion, RENUKA commits suicide in front of KUNAL'S eyes and he is terrified. KUNAL is now terrified. He explains to his lawyer his story and is able to get a bail. There, he seeks vengeance. Several clues leads him to Sin City, Switzerland. He encounters ALI (EMRAAN HASHMI) and hires him to find a porn star named ANNE (DEEPAL SHAW), whom he saw in the blue-film. However, after he finds her, he comes to know that she is a victim herself by the porn industry.

After an earthquake in Gujarat (which was a stupid idea), she comes to live with her uncle. Her uncle sold many things to feed themselves. When it came to a day when there was nothing else to sell, he sells ANNE. She was forced into selling her body and doing other tragic things. With the help of ALI and ANNE, will KUNAL be able to capture the villain and the person who destroyed his love? What will happen to ANNE? What will happen to KUNAL? What will happen in the end? Well, watch the movie to find out.

The performances by KUNAL was amazing for a newcomer. He really deserved best debutant award, but it was a hard decision since SHINY AHUJA also debuted in the same year. However, KUNAL KHEMU does have to work in his speech skills and his accent does have to be a little better. But, he sounds cute, nevertheless. SMILEY SURI is barely there, but does OK with the part she is given. For some reason, she looked bad in the film. DEEPAL SHAW is average, she plays her part well enough. AMRITA SINGH was fabulous. She looked so professional and acted great as the villain. EMRAAN HASHMI did good as well in his small sweet part. HE made the movie better to watch.

Now, here comes the errors. In the movie, KUNAL is portrayed as a not-so-rich and ordinary guy. However, despite this how is it that he is able to hire a lawyer? Pay for RENUKA's tickets? Hire ALI? Give ANNE money? And the money was a big amount. This was the part that did not make sense.

THE MUSIC!!!!!!!!!! It was wonderful. I just loved ADAAT (both remix and original). ATIF ASLAM is just great. JIYA DHADAL DHADAK JAYE is also marvelous. RAHAT FATEH ALI KHAN is just amazing.

OVERALL, I give this film a 8/10. IT'S A MUST WATCH.

P.S. PEOPLE BEAWARE. THERE ARE HIDDEN CAMERAS IN ALMOST EVERYWHERE THESE DAYS.

A pathetic movie....with fantastic songs
22 July 2006
Warning: Spoilers
lets start off by saying that "JAWANI DIWANI" is just a pathetic movie. I agree with the last person who said "I missed the joyride". lol.

The jokes were just terrible. Performances were average. Something went terribly wrong with the film. Emraan totally deserved something better. All CELINA JAITLEY did was expose. Hrishitta bhatt was OK. Emraan hashmi was OK too.

MANN (EMRAAN HASHMI)is a desperate guy who wants to become famous. therefore, he uses RADHA and pretends he loves her, only because her father is a music director and could help him become famous (since, the father obeys everything his daughter says). One day, MANN and his friends go to GOA to have some fun. There he meets ROMA (CELINA JAITLEY) and totally falls for her looks and tries to flirt with her BLA BLA BLA.

Then, that night ROMA cannot open the door to her room, and MANN decides to help her. Seeing that he cannot as well, ROMA goes to ask for help. While she is gone, MANN is able to open the door and decides to come inside and sits on her bed BLA BLA BLA. ROMA comes in and they have a one night stand. However, in that one night- stand ROMA falls in love with him. That morning, they spot the underworld don (MAHESH)who sees it all. The don loves ROMA and couldn't stand what he saw. He orders them to get married, and being frightened, MANN obeys the order and Merry's ROMA. Then, their marriage news ends up in the newspaper. MANN is later finds out that he loves ROMA after they do a music video together. He is now trapped between love and fame. BLA BLA BLA.

the movie is horrible. The songs "SINI NE SINI NE" is fantastic the remix version is even better. "DIL DIWANA" is also great. The title track is also awesome. GUYS, AVOID WATCHING THIS MOVIE.
