The Departed (2006)

The best crime drama of the decade!!
5 November 2006
I had the chance to see this movie at PVR and was awestruck by its fantastic narration. Especially, the inter-cuts in the movie are so well done in the movie that u don't feel jarred or confused... superb! And even though DiCaprio and Matt Damon had pivotal roles, not to mention Jack, it was a treat to watch & listen to Mark Wahlberg whenever he appears on screen! And man, last 15 minutes really blew me off! I haven't seen much of Martin's movies, the last one I remember watching is The Aviator, which didn't impress me much, even though I liked it somewhat. But with this movie, I can I had become a fan of Martin and would like to watch his previous titles like... Good Fellas,Raging Bull, Caper Fear etc. I am eagerly awaiting for the release of DVD of The Departed which, unfortunately to this part of the world, will come a little late...

Here comes an exceptional movie in Hindi, after a long time
1 September 2006
If you eat a good chocolate or sweet, the taste lingers in your mouth for quite sometime... right? Likewise, the taste of this movie lingers in you mind for quite some time! This movie is the best example of a brilliant script, brilliant execution and of course, some brilliant acting... Sanju and Arshad really rocks.... they make you laugh most of the time and there are some heart touching moments also... like in the first movie.. This movie surpasses its predecessor in every way.... The Mahatma angle in the movie has come out superb! Thank you Mr. Hirani for reminding us about Mahatma and his values... after a long time... :o) And lastly, i never thought that Vidya Balan would be so beautiful when I watched Parineetha then. She is very beautiful with radiant smile... Go watch it folks...
